To keep your locks healthy, getting a haircut every once in a while is rather crucial.
But for many people, plucking up the courage to book an appointment isn’t always easy. Whether some prefer keeping a similar hairstyle, others just simply don’t have time to visit their hairdressers for a much needed revamp.
Now one man left people amazed after he decided to finally cut his long hair. Posting on TikTok, Richmond Barber, who boasts 1.7million followers, recently shared a client’s journey from long hair to a “super satisfying” trim.
The clip starts with the man admitting he’s been wearing the same style since school and now he’s about to celebrate his 21st birthday, which means he’s had the same look for a really long time.
When asked what he’s opting for, the customer told the barber he’s after a modern mullet but with fades on the side. He also requested for a messy middle part too.
He even told the Richmond Barber everyone is excited about his haircut plans. Then moments later, his hair goes from super long to short, looking unrecognisable along the way.
The barber asks: “How do you feel right now?” To which he replies: “A little nervous, I’m kind of excited but we’re going to see.” Reacting to his new haircut, he says: “Oh that looks good man… It looks 10x better than I was expecting. Dude I’m super satisfied.”
And even his mum was keen on his haircut with “no regrets”. Since it was posted, the video racked up over 137,000 likes and over 760 comments. One said: “Bro will not sleep alone tonight.”
While another added: “No way he’s 20.” Then a third commented: “Bro saved him.” Others claimed they needed the Richmond Barber in their lives. Someone else chimed in: “Again these cuts highlight their eyes! He is handsome.”
The TikTok user, known as Richmond Barber, is a licensed professional who works in Virginia, US. He often welcomes customers from all over the States, with people travelling more than two hours just for an appointment.
Previously, a man looks unrecognisable after a dramatic haircut to woo his girlfriend on their anniversary. This customer travelled from West Virginia, to Richmond, where he left his hair in the hands of the experienced stylist.
He tells him: “Honestly I’ll just leave it up to you bro. I’ve never really had my hair cut really well. Like I’ve just had super cuts you know like generic basic stuff. Honestly I’m going to leave it up to you and just do your thing man.”
