Married At First Sight UK star Sacha Jones has blamed herself for a tragic loss, admitting she ‘can’t stop screaming and crying’
Married At First Sight UK star, Sacha Jones, has revealed she has suffered a devastating loss and blames herself.
The reality TV star, 29, took to social media to confirm the death of her beloved cat Diego. She announced the black and white feline had died in the early hours of the morning after struggling with illness for a long time.
However, she was quick to blame herself for his death, claiming she should have pushed for investigations into his health sooner. The pet had been due to undergo a series of scans, but sadly passed away. Sharing snaps on Instagram alongside the sad news, Sacha wrote: “He was due in for scans and tests today as he’s been ill for a while and tried various different meds but now I will never fully know why he passed. But maybe I should of pushed for your scans sooner.”
She also criticised her own decision to leave the cat while he was ill. She continued: “I definitely shouldn’t of left you for those couple days I was away. I just thought you’d be fine at your nanny and grandad’s and vet’s didn’t seem too concerned. I feel like it’s all my fault.”
Speaking of how the animal had previously helped her, Sacha went on: “I took him emergency vet but there wasn’t much they could do so I brought him home and he took his final breath in my arms. You once saved my life Diego, i’m so sorry I couldn’t save yours. I really thought I was doing all I could.”
She asked her followers how she is supposed to deal with the pain of losing Diego, confessing: “It feels so empty [the home]. I just wanna feel the thump of when you jump on my bed. I haven’t left my bed. I can’t stop screaming and crying. How do I ever fathom this? And go on as normal? You were too young. Too full of spirit and love. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more.”
Her followers were quick to send messages of support. One user wrote: “Awh Sacha I’m so sorry. Everything you’re feeling is so so valid – it’s so hard to lose an animal. The love you have for an animal is like no other. They become your children, your family. Please never blame yourself and please look after yourself! Sending love.”
Another added: “I’m so sorry this breaks my heart, they really leave a hole in your heart, while a third said: “Omg I’m lost for words. So sorry. Praying for you.”
