Samsung could release a new Galaxy S24 within weeks and you’ll be surprised by its price.

The original Galaxy S24 range first went on sale all the way back in February and are some of the best Android phones we’ve seen this year. Now it seems a new version of these popular devices – which includes the S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra – is coming soon and it could land in pockets with a surprisingly low price tag.

It’s thought Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 FE (Fan Edition) in early October with rumours suggesting it could be priced at just $649 – around £500.

That low cost has been backed up by a Samsung accidentally releasing US pricing on its website – a error that has since been removed.

Here’s what the leak confimed

• Samsung Galaxy S24FE – 128GB – $649

• Samsung Galaxy S24FE – 256GB – $709

If true, it will make the Galaxy S24 FE considerably cheaper to buy than the flagship models which currently start at around £799.

Despite the lower price, it’s thought this new device will come packed with impressive features such as triple-lens rear camera, large OLED display, a speedy processor and clever Galaxy AI built in. This intelligence will allow users to translate foreign phone calls in real-time, edit photos automatically and make their notes easier to decipher.

The FE could arrive in four colours including blue and green and will get a toughened design that’s fully water resistant.

If Samsung is going to release this device in October it’s likely we’ll get an official launch very soon and it could offer a less expensive way of owning a new Galaxy.

Of course, Samsung is no stranger to releasing FE devices. Last year it unveiled the S23 FE which offered plenty upgrades for under £600.
