A man asked for a ‘lil help’ in identifying what a certain Christmas ornament could be – and people flocked to the comments claiming it was a ‘millennial’ thing

A Christmas ornament has caused quite a stir online, with some baffled by what exactly it’s supposed to be.

Kitsch decorations have become more popular over recent years, with random things being hung from Christmas trees. From glittery aubergines to sausage dogs, Jellycat decorations and more, some people are really ramping up the tinsel and going all out with a mismatched vibe.

Turns out that some of these decorations are causing some people stress though, after Jason Ramsay took to the Dull Men’s Club Facebook group to admit that he had no idea what a specific ornament was, asking others for their expertise.

Showing off what looked like a piece of bread covered in a white sauce, with green on top and sprinkles, he wrote: “I found this Christmas ornament, and I don’t know what it is supposed to be. Lil help?”

People swarmed to the comments to let him know that it was a festive decoration “for millennials only” because it was “avocado toast”.

“Avocado toast. The thing boomers say millennials need to stop buying,” one man joked. Somebody else sarcastically said the ornament was “a house deposit”.

“See? If y’all hadn’t wasted all your money on avocado toast and coffee”, a millennial humourosly penned, followed by an eye-rolling emoji.

Another pointed out that it was avocado toast – but not just any old avo toast. It came complete with a cream cheese base, and had “everything bagel seasoning” on top of it.

Others couldn’t see the similarities to the millennial favourite snack, though. One person shared, “It looks like sliced cucumber in mayo on an oyster shell, lol.”

“It’s sliced cucumber with sesame seeds on a fritter. Super Christmassy,” someone else joked, with one Facebook user sharing: “I thought cucumber as well because it looks like it’s on cream cheese, and I’ve never seen avocado toast with cream cheese. But it all sounds delicious”.

Another reckoned it was: “Very clearly a chicken patty topped with ranch, cucumbers and everything bagel seasoning.”

Some commenters were more confused at “how that is Christmassy,” but somebody wrote: “There is an ornament for everything. Everything!”

In the comments, someone pointed out that it seemed to be from the brand ‘Every Day is Christmas,’ but the ornament is now sold out. However, if you fancy coffee ornaments, peanut butter and jelly, or even an aubergine and a peach, you’re in luck, as they’re still available.

A quick Google search of avocado toast ornaments brings back a lot of results, so it’s clear to see that many will be hanging this delicacy on their tree this year.
