Everyone knows the struggle of replacing bin bags, but now the faff doesn’t have to be so hard. In fact, one genius hack will make it easier to conquer the chore every single time…

Changing the bins is one of those household chores we all simply hate.

Some of us like to ignore the reality, while others have a designated household member taking on the gruesome task. But love or hate it, every home could do with changing their bins every now and again (sadly).

You know the hassle that comes with changing the bins, you then have to replace it with a new one. But sometimes it can get quite fiddly to place without it completely falling into the trash.

Now if it’s one of the things you dread the most, one woman on Instagram shared a useful hack to make it simple. User @itsnaomimeyer, who boasts 5,500 followers, recently revealed she was “today years old” after learning the handy trick.

In the video, she wrote above: “I was today years old when I found out garbage bags come inside out in the box. Install like this and they are right side up!” And her caption read: “Now I feel like a dumb dumb.”

And if you can’t believe the theory, she even shared a short clip which demonstrates the life-changing method. The woman concluded: “You’re welcome.” And it so happens many people on Instagram were equally blown away by the trick.

One wrote: “So I’ve been scaring my cats for no reason all this time.” Another added: “I legit just Googled this… mind-blown.” While a third chimed in: “Wait? What?” And a fourth posted: “Lol what? I had no idea.” Others claimed the trick was “handy to know”.

Meanwhile, are you looking for more life hacks? It comes as people were “today years old” after finding out the hidden feature for special DIY tool. The revelation was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by popular account Today Years Old.

A video attached explains this special key is traditionally used in carpentry for drilling round shapes in wood, and the hole serves an important function. It allows for a pin to be inserted, effectively transforming the key into a compass for drawing perfect circles.

This DIY gem showcased just how handy the key can be, as someone completes what looks like the most impeccable circle you might ever see with the aid of this feature.
