Primark shoppers have claimed one of the newest items to hit the shelves could be confused at first glance for a pricer Zara version. The plain white dress, deemed as a “perfect” option for upcoming Christmas events, is getting rave reviews.

Some shoppers say the dress has been stocked for less than 24 hours (as of October 15) but already appears in hauls from hundreds of TikTok users. The £14 unassuming dress has been compared to a £36 option being sold by Zara – pocketing savvy shoppers a saving of £22.

One shopper (@miagwright) showed the dress once she got home from the shops. She shared how she must have been one of the first few to buy it as it appeared staff “only brought it in yesterday”.

The comment section was flooded with messages from viewers keen to get their hands on the ‘expensive-looking’ dress. One said: “That is stunning!”

Another wrote: “I’m running to Primark tomorrow!” A third commented: “This went straight in my basket today when I saw it!”

Someone else said: “Love this! Only thing is I know I’d end up with make up all around the collar!” In another TikTok video, the garment was described as the “most gorgeous dress” on sale at Primark currently.
