The two are very similar in design – but there’s a huge price difference that could save shoppers money
Primark shoppers are heaping praise on a pair of shoes they’ve spotted online – and they bear a striking resemblance to a pricier alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer’s Clear Embellished Slingback Heels looks similar to a style being sold at Zara, but a much cheaper price. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £20, while the Zara version is priced at £55.99 online.
The heels are very similar, with a clear material embellished across the front, slingback design and low heel. They also both have a pointed toe.
However, there are slight differences too. The Primark shoes are a lighter shade of nude on the base, strap and heel, and has sparkling embellishments, while Zara’s feature faux pearls.
Primark took to Instagram to share a video of its new shoes, alongside the caption: “No bridal look is complete without a touch of sparkle.” The post racked up more than 5,000 likes and many comments from excited shoppers, who were quick to point out the similarities to the Zara shoes.
In the comments section, one person said: “I swear I bought these from Zara last year.” A second wrote: “Incredible shoes.”
A third shopper added: “Love these,” while another called the shoes “beautiful.” A fifth fan dubbed them “Cinderella shoes.”
A sixth said: “These are lit the Zara [alternative] from a year ago,” while another wrote: “It’s giving Zara!” Yet another shopper added: “Aren’t these identical to the Zara ones!!”
Primark’s product description reads: “Make every step sparkle in these stunning slingback heels. The pointed clear toe boxes features a dazzling array of shiny embellishments across the front, while the slingback strap adds elegance and comfort.

The Primark shoes retail for £20, while Zara’s High Heel Slingback Shoes with Faux Pearls come in at £55.99. This means shoppers could save almost £36 by opting for the bargain version.
