Shoppers are loving the “stunning” lamp which looks very similar to a more expensive version
The Range is selling a ‘stunning’ table lamp that looks could easily be mistaken for a much more expensive version. The budget retailer is well known for it’s homeware collection – but one item in particular is catching the eye of many shoppers.
The Range’s Cream Boucle Effect Table Lamp looks almost identical one sold at Oliver Bonas, for a fraction of the price. The two lamps feature similar tapered shapes, with matching conical shades.
The two are both covered in boucle fabric, have a textured finish, and are the same height. However, while The Range’s lamp is cream, the Oliver Bonas version is white and features a black and white cotton-covered cord.
The Range took to Instagram to share a clip of it’s lamp, showcasing it in store and then styled at home by shopper @lucymegan00. The video was captioned: “BOUCLÉ LAMP OF DREAMS. Our £16.99 Cream Bouclé Effect Table Lamp – it’s a NEED, not a want!”
The post racked up hundreds of likes and many comments from fans. One person labelled the lamp “stunning,” while a second said: “Love this.”
A third shopper added: “I’ve bought this yesterday! I love it.” Another said: “Love it.”
However, one shopper claimed the lamp would be a “dust magnet.” Another added: “Went to buy it last week but to be fair the base was awful soft that put me of.”
