Every year, many kids write out their letter to Santa to give him requests for what they want him to bring down the chimney. To keep the magic alive for your kids though, it’s important not to miss the deadline

Many children will be hoping that Santa will bring them some of the presents that are on their wish list for Christmas this year.

However, the man in the big red suit can’t do that if he doesn’t know what they actually want.

That’s why every year, many kids write out their letter to Santa to give him requests for what they want him to bring down the chimney. And there is nothing better than getting a letter back from Father Christmas to put their mind at ease that he has jotted down what they want.

To keep the magic alive for your kids though, it’s important not to miss the deadline to get their letter from Santa, with the big day just one month away.

Mum Emma Louise, known as @willow_andtheboys on Instagram, took to the site to share the news with other parents that the Royal Mail has revealed the address where to send letters this year. They’ve also shared the final date you can send your letter off to make sure you get a reply.

She shared a short video taken at an ice skating rink with all the information as overlay text. It read: “Royal Mail have announced the last posting date for a free letter from Santa, which is December 9th 2024.

“Send your letters to – Royal Mail Letter From Santa, Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.”

The post racked up more than 5,000 likes as many tagged their friends to let them know the information too.

According to the Royal Mail website, you need to write Santa’s address carefully on the envelope, put a stamp on the envelope so it gets to Santa and include your full name and address on the back of the envelope.

It does state on the Royal Mail that replies aren’t guaranteed though, as Santa says: “I’ll be replying to as many of your letters as I am able to from Monday 18 November; but there are a lot of you, so your letter needs to reach the North Pole by Monday 9 December.”

The website also states that braille replies can be arranged by customers emailing santamail@royalmail.com or by writing to the usual address.
