Sabrina Carpenter is usually all dolled up for the stage, but fans said she looked equally ‘fab’ as she snapped a photo while resting in bed ‘sick as a dog’

Sabrina Carpenter stunned fans with a rare glimpse of her bare face in a new selfie.

The former Disney Channel star shared the snap on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, seeming to rest in bed as she looked into the distance.

Devoid of makeup, Sabrina, 25, revealed freckles covering her nose and cheeks, while her skin remained naturally dewy and glowing. The star posed in a casual yellow jumper, and covered her blonde locks with a leopard print scarf.

“I am sick like dog… But I can’t wait for tonight Glasgow,” she wrote alongside the stunning photo, along with a sunflower emoji.

On Reddit, her fans couldn’t believe how beautiful their favourite singer looked even when under the weather. “Wowzers, those eyes are beautiful,” one person said.

“Hopefully she feels better now. She said she was sick,” another said, while a third argued: “Fab even when sick.” Another fan praised: “She’s got that Hollywood Golden era vibe.”

Sabrina previously opened up about her distinct sense of ‘Golden era’ fashion when appearing on this month’s Vogue cover. “I dress in this way where you would expect to hear a voice from the 60s. I remember feeling inspired by women that felt strong and hyperfeminine. And then being like: ‘If only she said what she was actually thinking,’” she shared.

Sabrina is just off the back of her success at the Brit Awards on March 1, where she won the Global Success award – and offended plenty of viewers along the way.

The annual ceremony received a wild 825 complaints for its March 1 airing, which saw a series of live speeches and performances. Speaking to the Mirror, Ofcom revealed that the majority of the hundreds of complaints “related to Sabrina Carpenter’s opening dance routine, and Charlie XCX’s outfit.”

Brit-watchers were particularly unhappy seeing as Sabrina’s performance came before the 9pm watershed, showing her in lacy lingerie as she performed her hits Espresso and Bed Chem. “Bit inappropriate for an awards show….” one person wrote online following her suggestive dance moves and innuendo-filled lyrics.

Sabrina wasn’t put off by the criticism of her performance, and immediately set off on her UK tour, which kicked off on March 6 in Birmingham and will soon move to Manchester this week before she flies over to Europe.

Sabrina’s time in the UK follows her split from actor Barry Keoghan, 32. News broke that Barry and Sabrina were putting a pin in their romance in December, after an insider told People: “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.”

As the new year started, Sabrina made it clear she was putting the past behind her and focusing on her huge prospects for 2025.

“I think a new year is a great time to reflect on all you have achieved, to be grateful for all you have, to be thankful for all the people in your life that love you. It’s also a great to leave stuff in the past that wasn’t good for you, any negative experiences or emotions and just have a fresh start,” she said.
