Shoppers are investing in a thick and waterproof winter coat from Seasalt Cornwall. The Plant Hunter Waterproof Parka Coat comes in six colours – Fig Tree Lino Highland, Woodland, Onyx, Aran, Gust and Midnight.
Pirced at £165, it isn’t a cheap buy but does come with rave customer reviews who praise it for being ‘cosy’ and winter weather appropriate. It also is available in three lengths, regular, tall and petite.
One pleased customer said: “This is my second Plant Hunter coat. This coat is so warm but also roomy enough to allow for a jumper underneath it. I find normal Macs just too cold in the wet and wind. This coat keeps me warm and toasty and always really dry.

“The hood fits perfectly and doesn’t flop about like some! I bought a size 10. I’m usually a size 12 but found that the 10 fits well but also with enough room for a long sleeve top and a jumper underneath it. It’s my autumn/winter ‘go-to’ coat.”
Another simply wrote: “I loved the fabric, cosy lining and fit. I’m almost looking forward to having the weather to wear it!”
A third added: “Stylish parka, lightweight and waterproof, finally found a coat with a hood that doesn’t fall down over my eyes and I like the furry lining. Just shook the water off and hung to dry, didn’t take long. Quite expensive, but bought it with the discount.”
Not all shoppers were happy, with one saying they’d hoped it would be heaver. They said: “The package felt too light so I could tell this wouldn’t live up to my expectation for a heavy winter coat.
“Upon opening it felt cheap and poor quality. Nowhere near worth the price, I returned it even at offer price.”
Another disappointed customer wrote: “Very poor quality for the price. I’ve had previous versions of this coat and the quality has definitely gone downhill. The packaging was very poor also with my parcel arriving completely open!”
