The Meaco MeacoDry ABC Dehumidifier is currently available to buy on Amazon for £169.99, and has received a number of glowing reviews from savvy shoppers

While dehumidifiers can be a bit of a splurge, they’re an economical solution for drying clothes, eliminating window condensation and reducing excess moisture in your home. Amazon is currently offering a 12L dehumidifier that’s receiving rave reviews from shoppers, with one satisfied customer claiming it’s ‘cheaper than cranking the heating up’ for drying clothes.

The online retail giant is selling the energy-efficient Meaco MeacoDry ABC Dehumidifier, which costs approximately 3p per hour to operate, for £169.99. This handy gadget boasts low power consumption and optimised energy usage, making it an affordable and practical daily tool for keeping condensation issues at bay.

The dehumidifier uses significantly less electricity than tumble dryers, thanks to its dedicated laundry mode that operates for six hours before automatically shutting off to conserve energy and your hard-earned money. It also features a handy function where you set the desired humidity level and it will turn itself off when this target is reached, only turning back on when it senses a rise in humidity.

The Meaco MeacoDry ABC Dehumidifier can be used in any room to remove condensation, warm up the air, and prevent damp walls, odours and mould. To date, over 5,300 Amazon customers have reviewed this ‘quiet and efficient’ gadget, giving it an overall rating of 4.7 out of five.

One delighted customer gave it top marks, saying: “Dries a full load of laundry within six hours. I’ve had this for coming on two years, it’s brilliant for the damp UK winters where it’s impossible to dry anything. Put this in a room on laundry mode and come back to dry, fresh clothes. Cheaper than cranking the heating up.”, reports the Express.

Another satisfied user said: “I’m very impressed,” praising its ease of setup and effectiveness in an old, damp house, noting that “Easy to set up, quiet and it’s doing a great job. We should have bought one years ago. We live in an old house and have damp walls – the machine is delivering 12 litres of water a day and the room smells much better. 100% recommend.”

A third added their voice to the chorus of approval: “The amount of water this machine has pulled out is astronomical. I can honestly say we have not had one drop of condensation since using it. We also have a smart meter and can see that it doesn’t use a lot, despite being on 24/7.”

Yet another buyer expressed their satisfaction: “I am so impressed and extremely glad I bought it. I told my parents about it and they have now bought exactly the same one, for the same reasons. They are also equally impressed and over the moon with the difference it has made.”

However, some shoppers did note a downside regarding the dehumidifier’s design, with one person pointing out: “It has no wheels which makes it less easy to move.”
