A little girl playing with her friend in Luzhou, in the Chinese Province of Sichuan, was joined by a giant rat which climbed inside her blouse in a spine-chilling moment
A giant rat crawled inside a little girl’s top as she played with a friend on the ground – and stayed remarkably cool as she waited for the rodent to leave.
The children were inside a store in Luzhou, in the Chinese Province of Sichuan, last week. Video footage showed the moment the large rat approached them both, before creeping inside one of the girl’s tops.
Whereas some people might panic at being joined by a rat inside their clothes, the brave little girl managed to remain calm. Her friend however was visibly terrified and backed away, alerting two nearby adults.
A man and a woman come over after hearing the noise and stomp the rat as it tries to get away towards the end of the clip, prompting them all to scream. The little girl in green was reportedly fine.
The video was posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. One user said: “A night snack.” Another added: “If it were me, I might not even want my arms anymore.”
Earlier this month a grandmother in Cardiff said rats have been running around her garden for more than six years – and one of them recently bit her two-year-old granddaughter. Katrina Griffiths said the issue stemmed from untamed land owned by Cardiff Council behind her property . She said it has been going on for years and began when fences fell, allowing weeds and brambles to invade.
She said: “This has been going on for a long time. I’ve had the rat control people come to me on numerous occasions because I’ve had rats out in my back garden. They come out and put poison and everything down. This has been going on for a long, long time.
“On Friday my two-year-old and 10-year-old granddaughters were out playing in the garden and all of a sudden there’s all this screaming. It seemed Emily had knelt down thinking this rat was a rabbit and she smoothed him. It latched onto her finger and bit her.
“My other granddaughter grabbed her hand and shook it to try and get this rat, which was attached, off her finger and hand. She did and it went on the floor. By the time my daughter and my son got to them the rat was dead.”
