Stacey Solomon shares update with fans after birthday weekend
Stacey Solomon has jokingly debuted her “new face” and said she’s a “new woman”.
The 35-year-old took to her Instagram page to show off her new look as she got some new glasses. She questioned whether her fans would like them but said herself she liked the accessory.
Sharing a video, she said that she and her eldest daughter Rose enjoyed a weekend of shopping as well as getting her eyes tested. Stacey then found out she needed some glasses and she opted for a clear framed pair.
She said: “I feel like when you get a new glasses, you get a new face. Look at me, I bet when you came on this morning you were like ‘who’s that?’, it’s me, I just got some new glasses. I feel like a new woman.
“I didn’t know and I still don’t know if I can pull these off but I really like them so please refrain from telling me I look like Dame Edna or what ever, okay? Because I like these and I just bought them.”
Stacey and her daughter Rose celebrated their birthdays over the weekend as they both share the same special day. Stacey’s new look comes after she reminisced on previous Halloweens last week as she and her family dress in coordinated outfits each year.
In the post she included four costumes starting out with the Flintstones. Stacey, along with her husband Joe Swash and children Zach, Leighton, Rex and Rose, all dressed up as the Flintstones family together. Another snap showed Stacey and the boys mimicking the Addams Family.
One of the years consisted of Monsters Inc costumes where Rex dressed as Sully and Rose was Boo. The last photo was inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Stacey dressed as Glinda, Joe as the scarecrow, Rex as the tin man, Rose as Dorothy and Belle as the cowardly lion.
Stacey captioned the autumn post: “Hello October got lost in a rabbit hole of our Halloween costumes over the years… i can’t stop smiling. The best memories… what shall we do this year? Which one has been your favourite so far? happy October everyone.”
Fans of the star took to the comment section to say how sweet the post was. One said: “Family goals right here ! INCREDIBLE words will not do this post justice! Xx” While another wrote: “Omg these are so good xx”
Meanwhile, several fans suggested ideas for future costumes, one commented: “You should definitely do Beetlejuice or Inside Out emotions. A second suggested: “What about Harry Potter always a classic in our house for Halloween.”
“You should do Beauty and the Beast. Belle as Belle, Rose as the rose, Joe as the Beast. You and Rex as Mrs Potts and Chip and Zac and Leighton as Lumière and Cogsworth,” one thought, as another commented: “Scooby doo this year? Love them all.”
