Giovanni Pernice shared a look into his whirlwind romance with actress Bianca Guaccero, who he met just months after leaving Strictly Come Dancing
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Giovanni Pernice, 34, has shared an intimate glimpse into his new romance.
The dancer is currently dating Italian actress and singer Bianca Guaccero,43, after they met late last year on Ballando con le Stelle – the Italian version of Strictly. Giovanni confirmed their relationship in November, and the duo went on to win the show the following month.
On Instagram, Bianca shared a selfie of herself and Giovanni relaxing in a dim room and sharing a kiss. “Love you with all my heart my dear love,” she captioned the snap. Giovanni was quick to repost the domestic scene, and added: “Love you more.”
On an episode of Ballando con le Stelle that aired on November 23, Giovanni publicly declared his love for Bianca as he shared: “Bianca is my priority. She has been my priority from the beginning. She is still my priority today and will be until the end of the show and beyond.” Appearing moved, Bianca replied: “Being someone’s priority is something new for me. I have always been the one taking care of others.”
She continued: ‘It’s an amazing feeling. It’s something I’m discovering at the age of 43. Having someone next to me who is proud of me and is happy for my happiness is something new to me. This has never happened to me in my life.”
Considering the show brought them together, the couple revealed last month that they’d made the major decision to get matching tattoos of the date they won Ballando con le Stelle. Sharing some photos of the ink online, Bianca gushed: “21/12/2018. And how could we ever forget that date that YOU made Irreplaceable. Thank you for everything. Merry Christmas to everyone!”
Prior to his new romance, Giovanni previously had a fling with Tasha Ghouri, 26, who went on to compete in Strictly last year. Gio reached out to Tasha and whisked her off on a series of dates after winning Strictly with EastEnders actor Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021, who shared a link with the Love Island star.
A source shared: “Giovanni was persistent when it came to Tasha. They have a lot in common, both being dancers, and he had just learned a lot about the deaf community performing with Rose on Strictly, who Tasha really admires.
“Tasha was impressed by how gentlemanly he was, taking her out to top London restaurants and offering to send cars to collect her, but she’s independent and always made her own way to see him.”
Ultimately, though, it wasn’t meant to be: “Their romance didn’t progress because Giovanni was travelling a lot with the Strictly tour and Tasha was already involved with someone else.”
Speaking to The Sun about romance rumours with Giovanni, Tasha confirmed that they had once been in contact. “I’ve met up with him a few times. But that was years ago. We are not in touch now, this is like ancient history,” she described.
