Shopping Writer Meghan has been swearing by this haircare brand for years and loves their new hydrating shampoo – and she’s not alone, Strictly’s runner-up Tasha Ghouri loves it too

I have been on a journey in the last few years to find affordable but effective haircare products to rescue my thin and dry hair; as someone who gets their hair bleached, my curls are always boarding on the drier side with some damage from colouring and bleaching over the years.

OGX hair products have been a staple in my shower for years, as I’ve sworn by their argan oil line and coconut milk shampoos and conditioners since I was a teen. But, recently, OGX released a new line of hydrating products that feature hyaluronic acid and po-vitamin b5, which are set to quench dry hair and restore that much-needed hydration and nourishment. After trying it out, it’s certainly become one of my favourite ranges. And it seems I’m not the only one.

Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island icon Tasha Ghouri recently shared her haircare routine with fans, including my beloved hydrating shampoo and conditioner. These products come with a celebrity stamp of approval, and they’re also on sale as part of Amazon’s Spring Deals Week, making them more affordable than ever.

Tasha and I’s favourite shampoo launched at the end of February. It incorporates ingredients we all know and love in our skincare routine. Formulated for all hair types, especially those damaged by chemical treatments, dyeing, and heat styling tools, this shampoo and conditioner aim to rescue hair in serious need of some RNR.

With ingredients scientifically proven to strengthen, nourish, and protect hair in the long run, this product ensures your hair feels and looks healthier for longer with every wash. The intensely hydrating formula immediately helps recover hair and restore its strength and hydration for dry, damaged, and frizzy hair.

The shampoo uses Lipi Pro Shield Technology, which aims to give two times more protein and lipid protection, supporting hair’s protein and lipid barrier for the healthiest hair possible; what’s more, it’s formulated without sulfated surfactants.

What’s more, these two would normally retail for £10 a piece, but thanks to Amazon’s Spring Deals, customers can join me and Tasha for less. The shampoo is axed down to £4.75, and the conditioner sports a nifty discount, now at £8.33. As of the time of writing, both have a 10% voucher that can also be claimed to save some pennies.

After just the first wash, my hair felt like I’d used a hair mask—it not only felt smoother, but I noticed the brittleness I sometimes feel after blow drying or styling with a straightener was gone. Normally, I have to finish my styling routine with some hair oil to stop the ends, particularly from feeling dry and damaged and looking frail. But not after using this shampoo. I’ve been using it since its launch and honestly say my hair has never felt healthier.

And it’s not just Tashi and I sharing the love for this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo has already gained a 4.6 out of 5 star rating on Amazon, with the conditioner scoring 4.8, in the month since they were first released.

One shopper raved about the shampoo, writing: “My hair hasn’t done well over winter and feels just dry and frizzy. This has been a really nice, welcome change to my usual shampoo and has actually made my hair feel much better after a few uses. I pair it with a ginger conditioner and leaves my hair lovely and soft. The shampoo has a fresh smell to it and lathers up well so you don’t need to use lots, which is great value for money as the bottle is pretty big. I’d definitely use this again when my review one has ran out!”

And another customer shared their love for the conditioner, beaming: “I have found since using this conditioner that my hair has felt smoother and a bit more manageable and found it much easier to comb through my hair after use. I also noticed that the ends of my hair felt more nourished. I do think that if I used it with every wash it would be a bit too heavy on my fine hair, particularly as it is not in a really terrible condition but when using it once a week, I find that it gives my hair the nourishment and care that it needs and love the scent.”

My and Tasha’s go-to shampoo for hydrating our dry hair is available from Boots for £5 or Superdrug for £9.99. The OGX Rescue Fusions Hyaluronic Acid + Pro-Vitamin B5 products are also available at most supermarkets.
