Film buffs can now enjoy a ‘shaken not stirred’ martini just like James Bond at a brand new 007-themed bar.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 1964 classic Goldfinger, fans can feel like they’re secret agents for the night. Nestled in London’s Burlington Arcade, Mayfair, is a posh bar decked out with gold furniture, chandeliers, champagne and even a hanging car inspired by the iconic Aston Martin DB5.

Patrons can savour high-end cocktails and see an Oscar in real life as well as some iconic props from the films – from Oddjob’s hat and Goldfinger’s golf shoes to the spyhole clock from his private plane. Plus, the bathroom is adorned with gold tiles, and there is a 007 boutique where fans can purchase collectibles.

The only two James Bond Omega watch timepieces ever to be made in yellow gold are also on display – the Seamaster Diver 300M Commander’s Watch (2017) and the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition (2019), designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

A video shared by Secret London – a social media platform that shares the best things to do around London – offered a sneak peak inside the ‘secret agents only’ bar on TikTok. “Burlington Arcade has unveiled a 007 Bond Bar right in the heart of the arcade,” they said.

They added: “Taking over three floors the space is, of course, a bar with high end cocktails, a shop and museum with tons of archival Bond pieces on display like old movie posters, set and costume pieces. Every part of this space is curated to keep the theme – and I mean every part. Bond lover, movie lover, just straight up booze lover – this is absolutely worth checking out.”

“Omg running,” gushed one fan. Over on Secret London’s Instagram page. Another penned: “Stopped by recently, it’s really cool.” “I want to see this,” another chimed in eagerly.

Bond fans will have to act fast as the secretive spot is only open for a limited spell – until December 31 this year. The bar operates on a walk-in basis only and won’t take reservations. It is also up for grabs for semi-exclusive or total private hire.
