NFL legend Adam “Pacman” Jones has opened up about his close friendship with Travis Kelce and his knowledge of the Kansas City Chiefs superstar’s relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce’s teammate has claimed to know the “truth” behind his romance with Taylor Swift.
NFL legend Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones has hinted that the pair could be set to tie the knot later this year and could possibly welcome a new addition to their family. Pacman has spoken about his pal Travis Kelce’s love life, expressing his joy for the sportsman and spotlighting how he’s always taken past relationships seriously.
Despite some cynics slamming the pair’s relationship as a publicity stunt, Pacman has confirmed their romance is real and that it has sparked multi-million-pound deals for the Kansas City Chiefs star. Chatting on his BetOnline YouTube show, Jones hinted at upcoming nuptials and family additions: “I’m thinking this year they are going to get married or after football. Of course they are going to be together. They have got enough money to take each other money. But I do see love there. So I do see a baby and everything.”
He also alluded to how well he knows Kelce from their shared college football days at the University of Cincinnati. The Pro-Bowler has spoken out, saying: “I think they are in a real relationship. I know Trav, because he went to UC. His love (is genuine). When he says he is with somebody, he is with somebody.”
He continued, “And I am a true believer of that because with the other young lady, he was with, he was with her and he found something better and moved on. But I believe Travis a hundred percent.”, he told the Mirror US.
He also expressed admiration for how their romance has boosted female interest in the NFL and led to more commercial opportunities for Travis. “He adores what their romance has done for female interaction increasing around the NFL and Travis banking more commercial endorsements.”
“I love it,” he added. “I wish I was that smart when I was young. What I’m saying is you see how many marketing deals he is getting. You see how many jerseys he’s selling. You see how many people coming up to games – the Swifties. You see what his Instagram did since he been with her. All of that s***t plays a part.”
Pacman was discussing Travis and Taylor while promoting his BetOnline show on YouTube, which he claims is the most innovative thing in broadcasting in years. Meanwhile, Swift is taking a break after her Era Tour broke records, with Pollstar estimating her 149 shows across 51 stadiums raked in about $2.2bn – a tour revenue record. Kelce, aged 35, is also aiming high with the Chiefs. Together with his teammate Patrick Mahomes, they’re chasing a “Three-peat” – an unprecedented trio of back-to-back Super Bowl victories in NFL history.
The pair struck up a friendship in July 2023 after Kelce was seen at Swift’s Eras concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Swift later showed her support by attending one of his games in Kansas, which led to their much-publicised date afterwards. Their relationship has since taken flight, with the duo jetting off on global getaways amidst their demanding sports and music careers. In September, Kelce sought legal help when fake news of a contract surfaced suggesting their romance was merely a publicity stunt.
Meanwhile, trolls continue to circulate millions of posts speculating that it’s all just a “showmance.” Off-field antics, including the drama surrounding Travis and Taylor, are not off-limits for discussion for the outspoken Pacman, who candidly expressed that he doesn’t “give an F” about discussing such topics as well as on-field confrontations. “The best thing is I control everything I do. I come up with the show, get the guests, the topics and it’s not that easy. But I enjoy doing the work behind the scenes that you guys get to see when we put it out. BetOnline has been unbelievable to me.”
“I know they say, everything is not forever, but this relationship right here probably going to be for the next couple of years at least. I’m very pleased with BetOnline, they do a great job of taking care of everything that I need as far as producing and helping me with the show, and this is just the beginning. We ain’t had a year in right now, so I really think in the next year we will be one of the biggest shows – if not the biggest.”
