This is the horror moment teenagers risked death by running across a slip road on the M60 and narrowly missing cars.

Dashcam footage, filmed on the clockwise carriageway at the J9 exit for Urmston, just southwest of Manchester, show two individuals running back and forth. As a driver turns off for the Lostock Circle exit, one of the individuals could be seen running across towards the main motorway before then quickly darting back.

The motorist said they needed to hit the brakes to avoid hitting one of the two teens. They claimed that after waving at the pair in order to alert them, they saw both continuing to run across the slip road in their rear view mirror after having passed.

Still images show the teens deliberately running across the slip road with them being seen at one point on opposite sides of the road. As the vehicle approached, both teens were seen on one side of the road, indicating one had just run across.

The driver uploaded the footage to social media to raise awareness(Image: MEN)

The dashcam footage was recorded at about 4:15pm on Tuesday, reports , the Manchester Evening News.

It was then shared on social media groups to raise awareness about what happened.

One person commented: “How bloody stupid. They’re old enough to know better.

“Can’t imagine how the driver must have felt.” Another added: “We reported this today too J9. Absolutely shocking.”

A third posted: “Unbelievable.” The driver told the outlet they called police to tell them about what happened.

The Mirror has contacted Greater Manchester Police for comment.

Teenagers have previously been caught embarking on dangerous ventures on the road in clips that have been uploaded to social media.

A heart stopping moment in 2022 showed a hooded person clinging into the back of a Skylink service 400 to Edinburgh Airport.

In the alarming footage captured, it shows the moment an Edinburgh youth clings onto a bus travelling on a suburb road.

The dangerous trend has been witnessed lots of times in recent years, as multiple locals have been filmed “surfing” on the back of numerous Lothian bus services instead of paying to get on.
