What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a yearly sales event in which brands offer substantial discounts on a wide range of products. The sale begins on the last Friday of November and carries on until the following Monday, known as Cyber Monday. This name was initially given because physical stores would usually end their discounts on this day, allowing online retailers to take over.
Most Black Friday sales have recently taken place online, although some retailers have introduced fresh deals to mark the weekend’s end. Initially a post-Thanksgiving tradition in the US, Black Friday found its way to the UK in 2010 via Amazon’s inaugural Black Friday sale.
When is Black Friday?
This year, Black Friday falls on Friday, November 29th, and continues until Monday, December 2nd. However, it’s worth noting that some retailers may start their deals earlier in the month.
