If, like me, you haven’t stopped eating or drinking since Christmas Eve, you probably feel like kicking off 2025 with some health and lifestyle changes. But if you don’t fancy braving the cold weather and going out for a run, you might be interested in one of the many devices and gadgets on the market that can help you start your new year fitness regime from the comfort of your own home.

Luckily, the January sales have seen price drops on plenty of fitness tech, from treadmills to exercise bikes. That’s why for the first Top Tech of the year, we’ve pulled together some of the most eye-catching discounts and deals from the likes of Amazon and Debenhams.

There’s big discounts on exercise equipment like rowing machines, all the way down to workout-friendly headphones and smart watches, some of which are more than £100 off. So keep reading for our favourite new year deals on fitness tech.

Sperax Walking Pad Treadmill – £179.99 (was £299.99)

This Sperax Walking Pad Treadmill is £120 off at Amazon, allowing you to go for a jog or get your daily steps in without leaving the house. It lets you walk or run at home at speeds of one to 10km/h and displays your exercise data in real time, including distance, speed and time.

The foldable treadmill boasts a space-saving design and has wheels allowing for easy storage when not in use. Amazon customers have said it’s ‘sturdy’ while compact and easy to put up and down, though some have said it’s ‘a little noisy’.

Rattantree Mini Hydraulic Stepper – £63.99 (was £139.99)

This Rattantree Mini Hydraulic Stepper is more than half price at Debenhams and comes with two resistance bands for a complete full-body workout experience. The compact device can maintain high resistance for up to 30 minutes and has an LCD display to monitor your workout.

Google Fitbit Inspire 3 – £59 (was £84.99)

Google’s fitness and activity tracker, the Fitbit Inspire 3, can give you real-time data as you start your fitness journey, with tracking across more than 20 exercises. The water-resistant gadget can also monitor your heart rate, sleep and menstrual cycle, and provides ways to help you manage stress.

Sportnow Rowing Machine – £142.39 (was £266.99)

This Sportnow rowing machine is almost half price at £142.39 in Debenhams’ sale. It features 16 resistance levels and an LCD display for monitoring workout data for performance tracking, as well as a 180 degree foldable design allowing for upright storage.

It’s worth noting it may require some assembly out of the box and has only received one review so far, with the buyer saying it came missing several screws.

Anker Sport X10 Workout Earbuds – £49.99 (was £89.99)

If you’re in need of some new headphones for your run or gym session, these Anker Sport X10 Workout Earbuds are almost half price. They’re designed to keep securely in place in your ear throughout your workout with a rotating hook and are said to be fully-waterproof.

The earbuds can run for eight hours from a single charge and can be fully charged an extra three times with the included charging case.

Slunse Exercise Bike – £199.98 (was £319.99)

Amazon has already knocked £120 off this Slunse Exercise Bike – reducing it to £199.98 down from £319.99 – but is offering a further £20 discount with the voucher on the product page. The bike boasts 100-level micro-adjustment magnetic resistance and allows precise control of cycling intensity, making it ideal for beginners and advanced users.

Sayrelances Swimming Headphones – £38.38 (was £59.99)

The Sayrelances Swimming Headphones are designed for use while swimming and can be reduced to £38.38 with Amazon’s 15% voucher on the product page. They’re crafted with an IP68 waterproof rating making them ideal for any underwater exercise, as well as running and working out in the rain.

They also feature 32GB of built-in storage that can hold up to 9,000 songs or audiobooks. The headphones have racked up a 4.3-star rating, but some users have pointed out a difference in sound quality underwater.
