Black Friday has well and truly landed, despite the calendar date week’s away on November 29 many retailers have pushed the button on their sales. Including a host of tech providers, O2 has joined the likes of Sky, Samsung, and Google to massively reduce the price of mobiles.
In this edition of Top Tech we’ve picked out the best mobile discounts from O2’s newly launched 2024 Black Friday offers to help you know which deals are genuinely worth your money. If you’ve been on the lookout for a mobile the Samsung Galaxy S24 is the one you’ll want to head to first.
Shoppers can now pick up the S24 device with a huge £900 cut off the combined handset and data price. A huge perk for anyone wanting to ditch the upfront at once costs and spread out the payment monthly, a deal which beats rival Black Friday offers too.

Front at centre of the provider’s deals are also the new Apple iPhone 15 with £360 cut off the price, and the Google Pixel 9 with a discount of £865 – although Amazon’s recent Google Pixel 8 Pro price drop (of a huge £500) tells us that shoppers could find better value for money offers elsewhere…even if it is on last years model.
This is where the Samsung S24 deal stood out to us, with a whole of of perks on top of its big £920 deduction. We even recommend it over the Samsung Store’s own Galaxy S24 deal with free Buds3 Pro earphones.
The main reason is that this plan combines the handset and data, calls, and texts into one simple fee each month, which for many will be a selling point (for ease) over taking out a separate airtime contract. The second reason being is you’ll get a choice of six data plans which have been reduced by £14 per month each – so £672 over the full contract.
To get the data savings you’ll need to pick either the 25GB, 30GB Plus, 125GB, 150 GB Plus, Unlimited, and Unlimited Plus plans – now, you can pick others but it won’t come with the extra saving. Now onto tour third and final point why this O2 deal is worth considering.
The device is discounted from a recent £890 overall to £641.78 which makes it cheaper than Samsung’s current outright price on their site, of £799. So even though shoppers will have to commit to this deal for a lengthy contract period – which is a potential downside to the offer – this Black Friday sale gives them a chance to lock into a much cheaper rate overall.
