Former WWE and UFC star Ronda Rousey and MMA star Travis Browne have proudly announced the safe arrival of their new baby girl in Los Angeles, even despite the wildfires ravaging the city

Former UFC superstar Ronda Rousey and her husband Travis Browne have officially announced the safe arrival of their healthy baby girl, even despite the raging inferno that was steadily consuming much of Los Angeles. The couple took to instagram on Thursday to announce the birth of Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, but did so while acknowledging her birth had come as a snippet of joy in the middle of so much devastation.

Posting a video of the happy couple and their newborn alongside Liko’ula’s 3 year old big sister, the couple wrote: “Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire, so grateful she made it safe and sound.”

The video showed Ronda in a hospital bed cradling the infant, while the new doting dad and sister looked on in awe. Alongside the clip, there were also three more photos of the happy family bonding together, as they got to know the newest addition a little better.

The heartwarming birth announcement comes after Ronda officially revealed she was pregnant last July, when she took to the stage at San Diego Comic Con to reveal: . “Did anyone notice that I’m very pregnant right now? Yeah, I’m just as pregnant as ‘Mom’ is in the majority of the comic.”

Originally making a name for herself in WWE, Ronda later stepped away from the profession to focus on starting a family with her former heavyweight contender husband Travis. The pair tied the knot in 2017, just one year after Ronda last fought in UFC.

Reflecting on motherhood after welcoming their eldest daughter La’akea in September 2021, Rousey told PEOPLE, Rousey continued of motherhood, “I’m just so much happier that I’m no longer ruminating over myself all day,” adding, “I’m always thinking about her and focused on her and… I don’t know. Am I more considerate?

“I think the best part about it is that it’s mentally made me more healthy and made me stop beating myself up so much because I’m so concerned with taking care of her.”

In addition to their two children, Ronda is also a proud stepmom to Browne’s two sons from a previous relationship.
