Vogue Williams has admitted that she feels “overwhelmed” and guilty over her family life, as she confessed to being the “worst mum ever” following a mishap with her children
Vogue Williams has opened up about feeling “quite overwhelmed” and battling “guilty” emotions amidst her bustling family life.
The 39-year-old TV and radio presenter is mum to Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and two-year-old Otto with husband Spencer Matthews. She says she regularly finds herself swamped with messages from various group chats related to her kids.
Speaking to older sister Amber Wilson on their Vogue and Amber podcast, the star revealed there is “so much stuff coming in” about the children. Vogue also revealed it led to an unfortunate mishap one morning.
Vogue said: “I am in two groups, three, one for nursery, two for the kids’ school, because Theodore and Gigi are in different years, and there is so much stuff coming in all the time that I just sometimes feel quite overwhelmed by it.
“But today I was like I’ll drop Gigi and Titi off and then I’ll come back and take Otto to his class because I have the morning off, best mum ever. Then what I’ll do is I’ll go to Gigi and Titi’s assembly, which it said is at 10.30am.
“There I am, standing at Playball, while Otto is not listening to a single word that I say. And I got a text off a mum in T’s class and she was sending me all of these videos of T in assembly and doing his gymnastics. I had got the time wrong, and we have been practicing the lines all the way to school and I got it wrong.
“Then when I went to see Gigi’s one, at the end they’re like, ‘Oh, go and you’ve got five minutes with your parents for cuddles’, and I was like, ‘Oh sweet Jesus, what did he do for the five minutes of cuddles’, I wasn’t there, I felt so guilty, I dropped the ball.”
She revealed that she had been busy “practicing lines” with her son Theodore before school, reports Bristol Live. Her sister Amber, who co-hosts a podcast with Vogue, called the incident “so sad”.
Vogue lamented: “Since then I feel like I’ve been chasing my tail all day long. Like, I am the worst.”
The Irish TV and radio presenter met her husband Spencer Matthews while preparing for Channel 4’s The Jump in 2017. Although Vogue had to pull out of the show, Spencer claimed victory, beating Olympian Louis Smith.
The couple started dating after their stint on the show. Spencer proposed during a trip to see the Lion King in London’s West End in January 2018.
Vogue and Spencer, 36, exchanged vows in June 2018 at the picturesque Glen Affric estate owned by Spencer’s family in the Scottish Highlands. Vogue recently revealed the pair had a “slight tiff” about how much she does around the house.
She said: “In the nicest way possible, I would say I fix the broken radiator and I do the school run.
“I would say I do 80 percent of what (goes on). We’ve actually been having a slight little tiff about that this morning, about the stuff that I do”.
