A huge brawl that broke out at a Wetherspoon pub has been caught on camera, with punters seen throwing glasses and chairs. The chaos unfolded inside The Railway Bell in Barnet, North London, on Saturday, October 18, at around 10pm.
Footage reveals a man, believed to be an employee, wrestling a rowdy customer to the ground while a security guard narrowly avoids a chair hurled in his direction. Another drinker is seen being knocked to the floor before he rises and smashes a glass against the bar.
Other patrons attempted to pacify the group of five, some of whom were wielding broken glasses. One man can be heard shouting ‘you f****n started it’ before a woman chimes in, berating the staff to ‘sort yourselves out’.
Amid the chaos, a 40-year-old woman was reportedly assaulted. Although police were summoned to the scene, no arrests were made and an investigation is currently under way.

Eyewitness Anthony Patton, 67, alleges that the fight erupted when staff tried to eject a man from the premises. He recounted: “They were throwing glasses and chairs around and one of the barstops knocked a boy down. The police were called but they (the group) had cleared off by the time they arrived.”
Anthony, a regular at the pub, claims that brawls are not uncommon. “It’s a bit of a roughhouse, to be honest,” he admitted.
