A TikTok creator has triggered online uproar by confessing she doesn’t always wash her hands after using the loo.
The video from @sophiashattersonxoxo, renowned for her frank posts, saw more than half a million views as she revealed her distinctive hygiene habit. She explained to her viewers: “I’m going to expose myself because I feel like it’s really weird that I do this and I don’t know if other people do this.
“But I don’t always wash my hands after I pee, especially if I’m in my own house, right? I know how to pee in a way that doesn’t make a mess on myself.”
Going further, she divulged her tactic for fooling guests: “I do this thing where if I have guests over and I go to pee, I’ll turn my sink on and pretend to wash my hands, and kill some time so that they think I have washed my hands but I haven’t.”
She admits: “So I actually go through the process of wasting both water and time just to kind of keep up with a lie that actually doesn’t matter.” Curiously asking her followers, “Anyway, anyone else do that? ” she found supporters and detractors alike in her comments section.
One user related strongly, saying: “I found my people,” while another exclaimed: “IVE NEVER RELATED TO SOMETHING MORE IN MY LIFE.” “Haha don’t most of us secretly do this?” one user questioned.
However, another commenter responded: “But if you were already doing that, like why not just wash your hands?” Meanwhile, a different user quizzed: “But you touch the toilet flusher and sink handles after taking a sh** so cross contamination??”
