50ft hologram lights up the night sky in Shoreditch

Stunning visuals took over the night skyline above Shoreditch as Londoners were treated to an incredible display massive 50ft hologram projected into the air.

For an unforgettable two minutes, state-of-the-art holographic technology held passers-by in Shoreditch under the stars.

This headline-grabbing stunt was all part of Samsung’s strategy to drum up excitement for its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, said to be their most significant launch ever.

Annika Bizon, director of mobile experience for Samsung, said: “This spectacle was designed to ignite imaginations and hint at the ground-breaking advancements we’ll be unveiling at Galaxy Unpacked next week.”

The show kicked off with a mesmerising cosmic blue light that bloomed into a constellation right before the eyes of passers by. It was narrated in a way that suggested someone had requested to view a series of vivid images.

As the display progressed, passers by watched as a majestic blue whale gracefully glided through the night sky. Moments later, the whale was joined by a recreation of the northern lights, followed by an explosion of blooming flowers – their colours illuminating the dark skies.

The energy of the display then shifted. The shape of a football came into view and the images transformed into imagery of a winning goal celebration.

Annika stated: “The display demonstrated the endless possibilities when art and technology combine.”
