Arsenal are without a win in their last three Premier League games and their disappointing form continued as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday

Mikel Arteta reflects on Inter Milan defeat

Arsenal suffered another defeat on Wednesday as they were beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in the Champions League, having also lost 1-0 to Newcastle last weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side are in a disappointing run of form at the moment and will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they travel to Chelsea this weekend. Arsenal have dropped points in a number of key games and a club legend has warned they cannot afford to lose to the Blues.

Forward Gabriel Jesus has also spoken out about his struggles for regular gametime and Mirror Football has taken a look at these stories and more ahead of Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Jesus’ frustration

Gabriel Jesus has admitted he is frustrated with his lack of minutes at Arsenal, but remains confident he can turn things around.

“Well, I believe that not only me, but any player, all players, want to have more minutes,” he told TNT Sports after Arsenal’s defeat to Inter. “I’m obviously never going to cause anything in the club, I’m going to try to demonstrate on a daily basis, in training, and when I get into the games, have my chance, and do my thing and trust that things will happen.

“I’ve always made it very clear that I want to improve, that I want to try to do my best and help Arsenal. Obviously, my moment is not the best, it’s not the moment I wanted, that I would like, but as I said, I’m working on my own, trying to do my best, and get more minutes to play, but that’s a consequence of my training, it’s a consequence of the way I get in and leave the decision to the coach.”

Arteta’s Chelsea message

Despite his side suffering defeat in Milan, Arteta insisted he was happy with Arsenal’s performance as they turn their attention to Sunday’s clash with Chelsea.

“If we play the way we play, we’ll have a big chance to win against Chelsea,” Arteta told reporters in Italy, as per the Daily Express. “That’s the way we have to go. I told them that I’m proud of them.

“I haven’t seen them play in Europe in the manner that we have today. We are disappointed because we didn’t get what we wanted out of the game, that’s for sure.”

Henry’s title warning

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has warned the Gunners will be out of the title race if they lose against Chelsea.

Arsenal are without a win in their last three league games and head into the Chelsea clash seven points behind league leaders Liverpool. And when asked if Arsenal were still title contenders, Henry told CBS Sports: “Right now they’re not challenging for the league.

“Obviously as you can see the results are not good enough to be able to be at the top, still a long way to go. But my issue, and always has been… away from home I don’t think it was good enough. But we were getting away with it for a very long time, now we’re not any more.”
