The Pride of Britain Awards are being shown on ITV this evening after a host of celebrities joined this year’s winners at the star-studded awards ceremony earlier this week.

The annual event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has honoured unsung heroes in the UK since it launched in 1999. Public nominations are compiled into a shortlist each year before a panel choose the winners, recognising courage and fundraising among the achievements.

This year’s winners received their awards at a dinner held at Grosvenor House in London on Monday, once again fronted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo. They have co-hosted the awards ceremony together for five years.

They weren’t the only celebrities in attendance for the special occasion earlier this week, with stars from shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Good Morning Britain also present. Some famous faces will be seen beside those being honoured with Pride of Britain awards during the broadcast.
