Recently, people on the internet claimed they were “today years old” after finding out the hidden feature for this special DIY tool. It took people on X, formerly Twitter, by surprise after a popular page showed how you can use the key.
Now over on TikTok, one mum has been left blown away after realising a little-known feature on her door – and since it was shared, it looks like she’s not the only one who’s just learning about it either…
User @tammyvega05, who has just under 3,000 followers, wrote: “I was today years old when I found this out. So I learned something new today, my daughter’s door keeps opening up and I told her you just need to get a door stopper.
“And she goes ‘mum I’ve got a door stopper already’, well you see that thing, it’s a door stopper, it’s to stop the door as you close it so the door handle doesn’t hit the wall.”

In the clip, the woman continued: “Oh no, she had to show me that when you let go, the door opens up so obviously meaning my husband needs to fix that.
“But in the meanwhile you just do this where you put your foot on the door stopper then put the door down and it holds the f***ing door in place. Why did I just learn that? Why didn’t I know that the door stopper can stop and hold the door. The things I learn…”
Since she demonstrated the revelation and posted it on TikTok, it quickly racked up 1.2million likes and 17,900 comments. One person wrote: “Why did we all just learn that?” While another added: “I’m beginning to think we don’t know anything at all.”
A third admitted: “Not me sitting up looking at my door stopper on my wall, baffled.” Then a fourth chimed in: “All the hours in timeout playing with this spring and I never learned that.”
