In new research revealed by Which?, popular holiday destinations including Ibiza, in Spain, still have cheap last-minute package holidays available for this summer

Party island Ibiza is amongst this summer’s cheapest last-minute holiday destinations.

In new research conducted by Which?, Ibiza has been revealed as one of the bargain package holidays still available for last-minute bookings.

Researchers analysed over 3,500 package holidays, that are still available to book for this summer, with the UK’s largest holiday providers — Jet2 and TUI. Every result is for a seven night resort break in the first week of August.

Many of the top ten all-inclusive holiday packages still available were family favourites and holiday hotspots such as Majorca, Spain and Turkey.

The west-coast resorts of Agadir in Morocco took the top spot. Costing an average of £1,041 per person for a week, this coastal holiday offers the perfect combination of sea breeze and sun rays.

Ibiza achieved second place, with an average cost of £1,046 per person — making it one of the cheapest all-inclusive destinations party beacuse of the availability of mid-range and keenly-priced properties, with options as low as £804 per person.

Dalaman in Turkey and Menorca in Spain, bagged the third and fourth spots on the list, averaging £1,057 and £1,100 per person respectively.

Which? also looked at room only, self-catering, B&B and half-board packages. Dalaman and Bodrum in Turkey topped the leader board for these types of packages, with average costs per person being £781 and £800 respectively.

For those who have always wanted to visit Greece, the good news is that the Greek island of Kalymnos, also offers good prices. At an average of £840 per head, this island allows holidaymakers to step into a real-life Mamma Mia without breaking the bank.

Alternatively, other wallet-friendly Greek destinations including Kefalonia, Lefkas and Thessaloniki — all sat with average prices between £911 and £937 per person.

For those who prefer Italy, the Campania region of the country is an excellent option. Home to the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii and the island of Capri, holidays here cost £911 per person on average.

Rory Boland, editor of Which? Travel, said: “Our analysis shows you can have your pick of amazing destinations this summer without spending a fortune. There is still plenty of availability at some of the most popular European seaside resorts this summer, but as we get closer to departure dates prices will only increase. Book quickly to get the best price.”

Though all-inclusive holidays can appear to offer a straightforward way to keep holiday costs under control. Which? warns it always worth check the terms and conditions to fill understand what the deal includes before booking.
