Good Morning Britain presenter Laura Tobin has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, and she credits it to two simple lifestyle changes. As she approached her 40th birthday, Laura, now 43, decided to ditch some unhealthy habits and start exercising, which helped her see impressive results. The mum-of-one, who shares a daughter with husband Dean Brown, revealed that she gave up sweets and started working out ahead of a girls’ trip to Santorini to celebrate her milestone birthday. She previously told The Sun: “In five weeks time I’m going to Santorini with my best friends for our delayed 40th birthday. Her and I have been laughing because I don’t do much exercise, I don’t have much sleep, I eat loads of food, I eat loads of sweets, I drink loads of alcohol, so I’ve actually started exercising, I’ve stopped eating sweets.”
Laura was thrilled with her progress, admitting that while she missed sweets, her new routine had paid off. She added: “I feel sad I’m not having sweets but also when you see the results, I ran my best 5k the other day, now I understand why people say ‘oh exercise is amazing.” GMB’s Laura dazzles viewers regularly with her snazzy get-ups, but jaws dropped when her real age was revealed recently. Many fans assumed the meteorologist to be way younger than her 43 years, reports OK!.
She celebrated turning 43 on 10 October, and the GMB crew, including Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, made sure it was special. Laura was over the moon with a bespoke weather-themed birthday cake, whipped up by the 57-year-old Ed Balls himself.
“I feel like I don’t want to eat it but I obviously will! I actually had to count on my fingers and figure out what year it is and what year I was born to figure out I’m 43 today! ” Laura gushed on-air, looking “fantastic”, as pointed out by her colleagues. Tweets poured in from viewers equally stunned by Laura’s age.
