After packing their family up to move to Dubai, former reality TV star Kate Ferdinand has been soaking up the sun with her husband Rio and two children, Cree and Shae

Kate Ferdinand shows off incredible figure in tiny white bikini after moving abroad

Former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand stunned fans as she showed off her incredible figure in a tiny white bikini. The reality star, who married ex-footballer Rio Ferdinand, recently shipped her family out to Dubai as the gang started their next chapter in the UAE.

Relaxing in the sun with her husband, Kate, 34, shared a snap of herself on Instagram posing on white sands in front of the country’s iconic Burj Al Arab. Her blonde beachy locks hung loose around her shoulders as she wore a black baseball cap, alongside the caption: “Beach Saturdays.”

The mum-of-two, who is also a stepmother to Rio’s three children, beamed as she posed in a tiny white polka dot bikini, showing off her toned physique and golden tan. She and Rio share son Cree, five, and daughter Shae, two.

Rio has three older children, Lorenz, 18, Tate, 16, and Tia, 13, who he had with late wife Rebecca Ellison, who tragically died from cancer in 2015. He went on to find love again with Kate, who is now a doting stepmum to his kids after they married in 2019.

Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Kate opened up about the difficulties she’s faced with her identity after taking over the care of her stepkids following their mum’s death. Not wanting to impose herself, the reality star admitted she sometimes felt conflicted over her love for them.

She explained: “Sometimes I’m ‘Mummy Kate’. But the other day I found myself going ‘come here to Mummy’, and Tia’s there and I go ‘oh sorry’. Tia said ‘Kate, it’s fine, I’m OK if you say Mummy. You don’t have to say Mummy Kate. It doesn’t bother me’.”

Although she has a strong bond with all her stepchildren, she revealed she sobbed after not getting a card on her first Mother’s Day after moving in with Rio and his kids. Speaking on the couple’s Blended podcast, she shared: “I wasn’t a biological mum.

“I think it was our first Mother’s Day – maybe I’d been living here about six months, something like that. And although I wasn’t a biological mum I kind of felt like I’d taken on the mum role. For me, going from living at home on my own to taking the kids to school, cooking them dinner, I felt like a mum.”

She said to Rio: “I really thought I might get a card from you, and I didn’t get a card from you. I felt bad to express that in front of you because you guys had lost your mum, and the kids have lost their mum.

“So I just went in my room and I just sobbed my heart out – seriously. And then I felt selfish for wanting a card, ‘How dare I want a card?’

“So anyone that’s kind of new in this situation might feel like that because it’s a weird one – ‘I wasn’t a biological parent so how could I expect that?’ But I felt like a mum.”

Rio’s eldest son Lorenz shared a sweet Mother’s Day post earlier this year paying tribute to the two mother figures in his life – his biological mother and his stepmum Kate. The budding footballer took to his Instagram stories to share two black and white photos – one of him as younger child standing next to a smiling Rebecca who died from cancer in 2015.

Then in the following story he shared another photo of himself standing with Kate and their arms around each other. He wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day,” with Kate resharing his post and captioning it: “It’s all in the details. Who has opened their card today? Just a little note from me.”
