Lisa Marie Presley, who died in early 2023, wrote in her memoir that her mother Priscilla’s ex-boyfriend Mike Edwards molested her

Lisa Marie Presley claimed her mother Priscilla Presley’s ex-boyfriend Mike Edwards molested her when she was 10 years old.

The late singer, who died aged 54 in January 2023, wrote in her memoir From Here to the Great Unknown about all things from her relationship with Michael Jackson and finding her father Elvis Presley face down in the bathroom when he died to other heartbreaking details from her life.

In the book, which was released this week after being completed by her daughter Riley, the late Lisa claimed Mike came into her bedroom when she was 10 and touched her with his finger. “He said he was going to teach me what was going to happen when I got older,” Lisa-Marie wrote in the memoir.

“He was putting his hand on my chest and saying a man’s going to touch here, there, he put his hand between my legs, and he said they’re going to touch you here.” Her mother Priscilla dated Mike, who is now 80 years old, between 1977 and 1984.

“I think he gently kissed me and then left that night,” Lisa Marie continued. The singer told her mother the next day and wrote in the book that she went into her bedroom and slammed the door before calling for Lisa Marie to come inside. Lisa Marie added that her mother told her that Mike wanted to apologise to her.

“Edwards was sitting on their bed looking very sullen and sulky… he said, ‘I’m so sorry, but in Europe, that’s how they teach the kids so that’s what I was doing’,” she wrote. After his apology, Lisa Marie alleged that the molestation continued, writing: “Eventually it became that he would touch me and spank me, telling me not to look [at him].

“I assume he was jerking off. He wouldn’t be mad at me – he did it very calmly, just sitting in a chair, whacking my a**. My butt would be black, blue, orange and green.” She said she showed her mother the bruises but was allegedly asked by her: “What did you do to cause that?”

According to the memoir, Priscilla did confront him on some occasions but was told by him that he was ‘drunk’ or that she was ‘flirting’ with him. Mike wrote a memoir called Priscilla, Elvis and Me in 1988 where he recalled “craving Lisa sexually.”

“I’d had to put and end to our swimming together after one disturbing afternoon in the pool,” he wrote. “Lisa had innocently thrown her arms around me, and we were jumping up and down. I became aroused. A sick feeling crept slowly into the pit of my stomach. I was craving Lisa sexually.”

A representative for Mike Edwards couldn’t be found. The Mirror reached out to Priscilla Presley’s representatives for comment.
