Lucy Beaumont will be back on the small screen later this month for the first time since she announced she was splitting from comedian husband Jon Richardson

Lucy Beaumont is readying herself for her return to television following her shock split from husband Jon Richardson.

The former couple stunned fans when they announced in April they were bringing their nine-year marriage to an end. The pair share eight-year-old daughter Elsie.

Now, months on from the divorce announcement, Lucy is set for a comeback on the small screen. Her show titled Lucy Beaumont: Live From The Royal Court Theatre has been confirmed to be playing on Sky Comedy later this month. Fans will be able to watch the show on October 22 at 9pm.

The special show will mark her first time back on the screens since the split. The show’s synopsis reads: “A stand-up performance by the comedian, featuring off-beat stories, unusual anecdotes and bizarre journeys through modern-day womanhood.”

Lucy’s stand-up routine returned to London last week. She is said to have name-checked her ex despite previously claiming lawyers had banned her from talking about the split. She also revealed in the show that her parents were also ending their marriage.

It’s said Jon and Lucy remain on good terms. She previously admitted to feeling guilty about their split. Speaking to the Sunday Times, she said: “I don’t regret anything. But equally, [over] this next stage I am very much keeping my personal life personal. I sometimes feel guilty that I talked about my daughter and my marriage, and my mum and my dad.

“I think partly I was feeling grateful, grateful that I was getting the work, grateful that I was being interviewed, and feeling like I had to sacrifice and share everything.” During her career, Lucy has featured on a number of comedy panel shows including Would I Lie To You?, The Last Leg and Have I Got News For You.

She also told OK! Magazine: “People might think I should talk about it [the break up] because we were so public and everyone knew us as a couple, but I won’t, and not because there’s any animosity. We both agreed that while it might be weird for other people not hearing anything about it, we wouldn’t talk about anything to do with the marriage or each other.”

The former couple previously starred in Meet The Richardsons, in which they play “exaggerated versions of themselves”, since 2020. At the time of their break-up, a joint statement read: “We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.

“As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment. Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont.”
