Seventeen years after finalising her second divorce, Madonna could be set for wedding bells for a third time after she sparked engagement rumours with her toy-boy lover Akeem Morris

Pop sensation Madonna has sent her fans into a frenzy with speculation that she and boyfriend Akeem Morris could be engaged, after she was spotted debuting a giant diamond ring on her left hand. The 66-year-old singer first sparked speculation after eagle eyed fans spotted the new accessory on her hand, with Madonna herself making no effort to hide the glistening jewel as she proudly flashed her hand to the camera from multiple angles.

In one image, she even held the ring up for a prime view as she walked home with her boyfriend, who at 28, is 38 years her junior, while several snaps from her New Year’s celebration revealed a closer look at the stunning jewel from Bijules.

The brain child of Joan Kim, the Bijules jewellery line has long been a firm hit with many celebrities, with several stars, including Letitia Wright, Beyonce, Rita Ora and Doja Cat having donned items from the brand in the past. As well as a ready to wear line, the company also boasts custom work and notably also features a ‘bridal’ section on it’s website, adding further fuel to the speculation that Madonna could be ready to tie the knot for a third time.

Madonna first began dating the former college soccer player last year, when they went public with their romance in July 2024 despite having met two years earlier in August 2022. The couple recently rekindled their romance just weeks after reportedly calling it quits in October.

Morris marks the latest name in a long list of romantic partners that the songstress has dated throughout her life, with several names including boxer Joshua Popper and dancer Ahlamalik Williams among her list of former loves, as well as two failed marriages to Hollywood stars Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie.

Reflecting on her love life back in 2022, Madonna admitted she regretted both of her marriages, and had previously opened up to The Sun in 2015 about feeling ‘incarcerated’ during her marriage to Penn.

“I wasn’t really allowed to be myself,” she told the outlet. “You’ve got to find someone who accepts who you are and is comfortable with that.”

By contrast, in 2011 she also compared her marriage to Guy Ritchie, which lasted for eight years between 2000 and 2008 to a “soap opera”.

Speaking to Details magazine at the time, despite the drama of their relationship, she was keen to reflect on the positives, adding: ‘It’s definitely not something I regret… The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids [Rocco Ritchie and David Banda ] and that came out of it, and I could see no other route to take,’ she concluded.
