Telling best friend Lily Allen all about it, Miquita Oliver says she kissed ‘ISIS Beatle’ Alexanda Kotey, the Islamic State group militant also known as Jihadi George
TV presenter Miquita Oliver detailed her bizarre connection to the ‘ISIS Beatle’ Jihadi George and revealed he was her first kiss.
She told Lily Allen about it on the Miss Me podcast and says she smooched with the terrorist, real name is Alexanda Kotey, when they were young. The self-confessed Islamic State thug was sentenced to life imprisonment in the US in 2022, having pleaded guilty to eight charges.
Former Pop World host Miquita locked lips with him when they were teenagers, and made the confession to her pal on the show. She told Lily: “Do you remember who my first kiss is? It’s Alexy, mixed race Alexy from Fox. And do you remember what happened to Alexy? He became Jihadi George!”
Stunned, the singer replied: “She does pick ’em! It is kind of crazy that your first kiss ended up there. That’s pretty mental.” Miquita understandably didn’t want to dwell too much on the subject and said: “It’s not my story to tell so let’s move on!’ “There are kisses I’ll never forget – from when you were like teens and twenties. Between the ages of about 18 and 27 I think most of my straight friends I’d snogged.”
Lily returned to work after taking a break to jet off to “rehab” amid rumours that she’s split up with husband David Harbour, 49. Lily and David met on exclusive dating app Raya, and a source claimed that – despite deleting the app after they met – David rejoined the app in secret, and that Lily found evidence he’d been using Raya to meet other women.
The insider claimed that Lily had suspicions about David’s online activity, and decided to investigate whether he was back on Raya by creating her account targeted at women. “Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing. She was doing her Wagatha thing,” they said.
“Lily only rejoined Raya to try to figure out whether he was seeing someone. Lily has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago,” a source told The Mail on Sunday. “It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her saviour and now he’s a trigger for her. Lily settled her kids back into the family home and took them to school for their new term, then flew herself straight to rehab.
She went a day earlier than intended as she felt wobbly and desperate to escape,” the source told the Mail. They added that Lily planned to spend more than a month at the £8,000 a week clinic, and described: “She will spend several weeks at the residential retreat in the US where she is expected to take part in intensive group counselling sessions and one-on-one therapy in which she will be urged to ‘unpack’ her emotions.”
