Brown suede is trending this season and Rochelle Humes’ £850 Miu Miu X New Balance trainers are the perfect way to get the look – but we found a pair at Next for £800 less
This spring, if there’s one thing you should be adding to your wardrobe it’s brown suede. Whether it’s in the form of a jacket, a handbag or a pair of shoes, it’s an absolute must-have.
One person we spotted nailing the trend early on is Rochelle Humes, who shared a snap of her £850 New Balance X Miu Miu 530 Sl Suede Sneakers on Instagram. Although Rochelle’s exact trainers have now sold out, we spotted an almost identical pair at Next for a fraction of the cost – and they’re perfect for bringing the brown suede trend to your outfits in an effortless and timeless way.

The Tan Brown Premium Leather Slim Lace-Up Trainers are priced at £56, which makes them almost £800 cheaper than Rochelle’s designer pair. They’re made from 100% real leather, and have a similar slim silhouette that makes them easy to style and look chic and timeless.
You can easily pair these with some blue denim and a white Tshirt for a more elevated every day look, or with some wide leg trousers and a crisp shirt for the office whilst still looking smart. The tan option also comes with two lace options – orange and white – or you can pick them up in ‘natural’, an off white suede colourway, or all-black which has a hair-on pony skin finish.
Next’s Tan Brown Premium Leather Slim Lace-Up Trainers also have a cushioned footbed that makes them ultra-comfortable to wear so you can be on your feet all day. Although they’re a much more affordable option, they’re still available in sizes from 3 to 7 with some sizes that are currently out of stock showing they’ll be back in two to three days.
Elsewhere we spotted another similar pair at Massimo Dutti, with the Soft Split Suede Trainers now reduced from £129 to £49.95. There are very limited sizes left in this style, though, thanks to the hefty discount so you’ll need to be quick to snap them up.
If you’re looking to splurge a little, the Tb.56 Suede Brown Leather Sneakers from Alohas are available for pre-order at £190, and have become one of the unexpected must-have trainers amongst the fashion set. As well as the tan suede version, they also come in a range of other colours including chocolate brown, green and beige – all top trending colours this season.
