Nicola Peltz hasn’t always seen eye to eye with mother-in-law Victoria Beckham – but with their reported feud behind them, it seems she’s been taking style tips
Nicola Peltz Beckham appeared to be channelling her inner Posh Spice as she debuted a new look this week.
The 29-year-old Bates Motel star – who is married to Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn, 25 – took to Instagram to show off her new hair do – and it’s the spitting image of her mother-in-law in her Spice Girl days.
Her new do is a sleek dark bob that Victoria was famous for sporting in the 90s. Nicola was pictured at a gas station wearing grey joggers and a black cami top that showed off her toned midriff. She captioned the post: “Passenger princess.”
And fans were quick to point out the similarity to a young Victoria as one wrote: “Posh Spice vibes.” Another commented: “Yessss! Living for this hair!” A third posted: “Love the short hair on you Nic.” A fourth said: “I love the hair!” as a fifth added: “Hair is 10/10.”
Perhaps Nicola’s new hairstyle is a mark of respect to Victoria, following rumours of a feud since her wedding to Brooklyn back in 2022. The pair allegedly had a disagreement over Nicola’s wedding dress design. There were rumours that Nicola “refused” to wear her VB design wedding gown, while others said Victoria had declined to make her dress.
But a source said they decided to make peace for the sake of the family. And since the beginning of this year, the pair have been pictured together at various family events, including Victoria’s fashion shows.
The source revealed: “Victoria took a step back, so Nicola took a step forward and it allowed them to resolve things and move on.” The insider said that Victoria just wants what’s best for her son Brooklyn and added. “Brooklyn made it clear that Nicola was the number one woman in his life, so they had to resolve things.”
Speaking to OK! magazine, a source claimed it took some time for the family to adjust to the new dynamic after the wedding. They said: “It’s difficult at times because Victoria is used to being the boss and ruling everything – she’s the matriarch of the family.
“Nicola and Victoria are both very strong characters, so it was either going to end in them losing the relationship Victoria and David have with Brooklyn, or the issues needed to be put to bed to bring them all back together.”
But though the pair appear to have patched things up, fans accused Nicola of being ‘disrespectful’ earlier this month after she showed up to the star-studded event for the launch of Brooklyn’s new hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, in a barely there outfit.
One social media user wrote: “Victoria doesn’t look too happy. I wouldn’t be either if my daughter-in-law showed up to my son’s event wearing no pants. How distasteful and disrespectful.” Another said: “So hot, you’ll forget your pants!” While a third disapprovingly added: “Why is dear girl half naked in front of father in law.
