Shoppers heaped praise on Primark’s newest range, and one cosy item of clothing drew comparisons to Zara
Primark’s new winter range is reminding shoppers of Emily in Paris, the hit Netflix show known for its eccentric take on Parisian fashion. Whether you like or loathe her outfits, Emily in Paris’ protagonist, played by Lily Collins, always knows how to make a splash with her clothing.
Now, Primark fans can steal her style thanks to a £34 bouclé jacket and other similar items that have reminded fans of the show. Bouclé aside, there’s also an array of other cosy winter styles on offer as showcased in a popular TikTok video shared by @mariajoynson.
Taking viewers with her on a trip to the Primark in Westfield London, style guru Maria highlighted her favourite in-store finds. “The first thing of interest that I saw was this jacket. This was right at the front as I went in. It was £34, and I thought it was quite Zara vibes,” explained Maria as she showcased a cream bouclé jacket with a collar and zip detail.
Walking around the store, she continued: “They did have a lot of good neutrals for January. I liked this fleece-lined hoodie (…) For once there was stock of the viral jumper, but it was in blue. This is a nice colour and it would suit other people.”
Maria also highlighted a blue bouclé co-ord, plus a matching bouclé blazer. “I do like the fact that they’ve started putting these little essentials around the place. This headband is very nice,” she added.
Later in the video Maria showed off a ‘really nice’ £28 Padded Borg Jacket, available for Click and Collect on Primark’s website, and a £26 collarless jacket she said looked ‘very nice in person’.
“The side section is filled to the brim with every workout item you could ever need,” Maria noted before she highlighted a knitted jumper with ‘Paris’ emblazed on the front.
Maria wasn’t the only one with Paris on her mind. Responding to the video, a commenter said: “It’s giving Emily in Paris.” Maria replied: “Yeah it’s all quite Bonjour boucle,” though she added a skull emoji, suggesting she’s not entirely sold on the style inspiration.
Many of the bouclé designs seen in the video do not appear to be available on Primark’s website. However, the retailer’s online collection does include a £32 Bouclé Braided Jacket, a £19 Bouclé Button-Up Cardigan, and a £12 Bouclé Crossbody Mini Tote Bag.
