Kate Middleton is usually a great source of style inspiration to us and the espadrille wedge plays, a huge part in her warm-weather wardrobe with Stuart Weitzman and Russell & Bromley being the mum of three’s go-to brands over recent years. So when we spotted River Island had just reduced their wedge espadrille sandals from £55 to £25 in the summer sale, the shopping temptation certainly set in, who doesn’t want to get the Royal look on a budget?
River Island has just reduced lots of summer essentials this week in their summer sale and these wedges are the first thing going into our basket.
Maybe you’re off on a summer holiday, or have a garden party to attend- the wedge style will give you a little height with midi dresses (as displayed by Kate) and offer more support and comfort when walking on grass, or cobbled streets. River Island’s suede wedges feature tie-up ankle straps and are a reasonable heel height too (9cm) which is ideal if you struggle to walk in sky-high stilettos and need a stunning summer shoe alternative.
According to the website the style is selling fast, since the reduction but you needn’t worry as there are still lots of sizes left ranging from a size 3 to a size 8. You can also choose from two summer-worthy colours, beige and orange if you prefer to add a pop of colour to your looks.
