Travis Kelce has taken on a new challenge in his career as he stars in FX’s “Grotesquerie” as Nurse Ed Lachlan, but fans were left stunned by his dramatic transformation

Swifties had a field day poking fun at Travis Kelce after he showed off a mullet that had him being compared to none other than Billy Ray Cyrus.

The Kansas City Chiefs legend turned quite a few heads with his nurse Ed Lachlan character in FX’s “Grotesquerie,” especially during episode three. The NFL icon even tipped his hat to beau Taylor Swift in a scene in a cheeky nod to Swift’s hit song “Getaway Car” from 2017.

Joining the ranks of an A-list roster, Kelce features alongside names like Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Nicholas Alexander Chavez in the series. His new hairstyle for the show sparked opinions aplenty after the “Grotesquerie” Instagram page posted a photo of him donning a mullet.

In the snap shared, Travis looks decidedly miffed, staring down the camera lens while decked out in a brown leather jacket, unbuttoned shirt, and blue jeans. The accompanying caption teased fans with: “Nothing is what it seems. No one is who they seem. Episode 7 of FX’s Grotesquerie is now streaming on Hulu.”, reports the Mirror US.

Comment section comedians didn’t miss a beat teasing Kelce, with one saying: “That’s an insane transformation omg. so excited to see what’s coming,” and another chuckling over his resemblance to a classic movie character, quipping: “He killed me when he came out looking like Forrest Gump. we want nurse Ed back.”

One fan couldn’t hide their shock, exclaiming: “WHAT IN THE BILLY RAY. We want nurse Travis back lol,” while another was ready to embrace the changes, saying with anticipation: “That’s an insane transformation omg. so excited to see what’s coming.”

Talking about dabbling in the acting scene, Kelce had shared his enthusiasm during a “Good Morning America” appearance last June, revealing: “I’ve been on a few shows before… I’ve only played myself in those shows, though.”

He opened up about the novelty of assuming another persona, stating: “So it’s definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotions in everything, and the understanding of a script and the scene. But it’s a challenge.”

The 36-year-old star spoke candidly about his foray into acting, confessing: “I feel like an amateur right now, but it’s definitely a fun challenge, and I’m enjoying every bit of it, for sure… I’m coachable. That’s one thing I know from being in sports, I am a coachable guy.”

He couldn’t contain his excitement about the new venture, adding: “It’s just been awesome… Everybody involved in terms of the actors and the directors and the writers have just helped me out so much, understanding what I’m supposed to be doing. And I’m just havin’ fun with it.”
