TV writer Jake Hackney has rounded up our favourite deals on Samsung tech, with hundreds of pounds in savings available with devices like the Galaxy S24 and Tab S10

As we all know, picking up top tech means we have to pay top prices, so any way we can save money is worth shouting about. Samsung offers some of the most sought-after devices on the market, with its range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets the most popular amongst Android fans.

But these premium products can cost a pretty penny, with its highest-spec items sometimes costing upwards of £1,000. That’s why for this edition of our Top Tech series, we’ve rounded up our favourite deals on the latest Samsung tech, including a way to get a free Galaxy Watch and how you can bag a new Galaxy Tab for less than £2 a day.

So whether you’re after a shiny new smartphone or looking to upgrade your tablet, read on for our favourite Samsung deals.

Get a free Galaxy Watch with the S24

Over at Mobiles.co.uk, shoppers can get a free Galaxy Watch FE when picking up any contract or SIM-free purchase of the Galaxy S24 FE. The retailer offers the smartphone on a range of plans on networks including iD Mobile and Vodafone, all of which are packed with 5G data.

The deal won’t be around forever though – shoppers have until October 31 to claim their free Galaxy Watch FE, which would usually set you back £199 when buying directly from Samsung. Released earlier this year, the Galaxy S24 FE is a more budget-friendly version of the standard S24, though has the same 6.7” screen as the larger S24 Plus model.

Tech editor at our sister site the Daily Express, Henry Burrell, pointed out a perk of the FE: “The S24 FE gets seven years of software and security updates, just like all the more expensive Galaxy devices. This means with some care you could use this phone until 2031 and it would still be up to date.”

However, he did note that the FE ‘cuts some specs corners’ to reach the lower price. “The display is less power efficient than the ones on the regular S24s. The FE’s design is also a little chunkier and less refined, with a flat glass back and flat aluminium sides.”

The S24 FE comes in a choice of blue, graphite, grey and mint, with storage of 128GB or 256GB. Shoppers can get the phone along with a free Galaxy Watch FE with any plan on iD Mobile, including the 100GB plan, which comes with unlimited calls and texts for £25.99 a month and £9 up front.

For those in need of extra data, iD also offers a 500GB plan for £23.99 a month and £79 up front. iD Mobile’s S24 FE plans start at £14.99 a month if you’re looking to keep monthly costs down, with plans at this price point coming with a choice of data allowances from 10GB to unlimited.

These plans do have an upfront cost starting at £229 depending on which data allowance you choose, but this works out as the cheapest option over the 24-month term if you’re happy to pay a higher amount upfront.

Get the Galaxy Tab S10 for less than £2 a day

It’s not all about watches and smartphones, as those in the market for a new tablet can also snap up a mega money-saving deal when picking up Samsung’s latest device. The brand unveiled its new Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra earlier this month, and we’ve found a way to get one for less than £2 a day.

The deal comes from Sky Mobile, which is offering the tablet for £1.13 per day when spreading the cost on a 36-month plan. This gives shoppers a great option to pick up the new 256GB device without handing over £1,199 outright.

Sky is also tempting customers by throwing in a free pair of Galaxy Buds3 – which usually cost £159 – if buying by October 30. Our Commerce Content Editor Harriet Morphy-Morris said the iPad-rivalling S10 Ultra gives the previous S9 range ‘a run for its money’.

She said: “The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a natural iPad rival [that] comes with a 14.6-inch screen and a new host of AI features. This new tablet gives the previous Tab S9 range a run for its money, as the newest Android tablet on the market and a processor change to tempt eager shoppers to upgrade their work-from-home or on-the-go device.”

Samsung is also offering a big saving on the Tab S10 when buying direct, with discounts of up to £300 when you trade in your old tablet. But the deals don’t stop there, as shoppers can also get 10% off with the voucher code NOW10 and claim a free AI Book Keyboard with the code TABS10.

If you’re unsure which deal works out best, Harriet said: “In full honesty the AI Book Keyboard is worth more, so Samsung’s rival deal will give shoppers a better value freebie gift. This may be ideal for those buying the tablet for work, while Sky Mobile’s free Galaxy Buds3 offer would suit lifestyle tablet shoppers – those wanting to watch series or listen to music on the go and don’t own a pair of sturdy headphones.”

How to get a Galaxy S24 Ultra for half price

If you simply must have the latest and highest quality device, but are put off by its whopping price tag, there’s a way to bag a discount of more than £450. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is Samsung’s highest-spec smartphone, but as a premium product, it comes in at a hefty £1,249 for the 256GB model.

Luckily, Samsung is running two offers which means customers can pick one up for less than half the usual price. Samsung will knock 20% off with the voucher code TWENTY, reducing the price from £1,249 down to £1,000.

But if you’ve got an old device lying around – even if it’s not Samsung – you can trade it in and save even more. Tech Editor Dave Snelling said: “The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the top dog when it comes to Android smartphones but all those premium features it contains mean buying this device isn’t cheap.

“Thanks to Samsung’s trade-in offers there’s up to £490 off the Ultra when handing over a Galaxy Z Fold5 or a £455 reduction if you’ve got an S23 Ultra in your pocket. That means you could reduce the cost of the S24 Ultra down to £510 – that’s less than half price.”

Some of the trade-in options include:

  • Galaxy S23 Ultra: Trade-in value – £455
  • Galaxy S23 Plus: Trade-in value – £345
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra: Trade-in value – £300
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: Trade-in value – £430
  • iPhone 14 Pro: Trade-in value – £350
  • iPhone 14: Trade-in value – £260
  • iPhone 13: Trade-in value – £180

It’s worth noting that the 20% offer isn’t around for long – shoppers have until October 29 to get this deal. If Apple is more your thing, Amazon stocks the iPhone 16 range, including the 128GB model for £799, the 128GB iPhone 16 Plus for £899, or the 128GB iPhone 16 Pro for £999.
