ITV’s Unforgotten murder investigation is concluding but there is one other question nagging everyone

The sixth series of Unforgotten has gripped audiences with its latest cold case investigation.

The much-loved drama has embarked on another thrilling narrative as the murder investigation of a man remains were discovered on Whitney Marsh.

He was revealed to be pub landlord Gerry Cooper. The father of one was married to Juliet Cooper (Victoria Cooper) who reported him missing – but police closed the case – believing it to be suicide.

After visiting Juliet’s lavish house DCI Jessica James (Sinéad Keenan) and DI Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) looked at the obvious money as motive – and examined the role of other suspects.

However throughout its sixth series run there has been one thing leaving viewers perplexed – who sings the title music on the ITV show?

The haunting All We Do is played at the beginning credits of the ITV show – and has had millions of YouTube views and streamed million more times every time a new series of Unforgotten airs.

It is written and performed by London based duo Oh Wonder – singer-songwriters’ Anthony and Josephine Vander West who have celebrated a happy ending to their own real life story..

Ant and Josephine are not just music partners. They married in July 2021 and chose to merge their surnames – Vander was Josephine’s last name and Anthony was West.

On Instagram the couple who have 262k followers posted: “Turns out there is one thing better than playing an Oh Wonder show. And that’s marrying your favourite person.”

Their band started in September 2014 with their first album, also called Oh Wonder, coming out a year later.

The song used in Unforgotten is one of the tracks on the album.

The two first met in 2010 when Anthony attended one of Josephine’s solo gigs. A year later, she attended one of his shows and the pair began writing songs and making music together. The couple describe their music as alternative pop.

Last week they toasted their song making it back into the Shazam charts.

Pictured with cocktails the couple wrote on Instagram: Writing to you from a date night drinking a spicy marg (classic) and a saffron negroni (bit posh ay) remarking at how incredible it is that the songs we wrote 10 years ago are still finding their way into new ears.

“‘All We Do’ is back in the Shazam charts (in very good company), and it’s so amazing to us that it’s endured a decade and still hits people when they hear it.”

The band has also released a new version of their iconic track – with the addition of strings and real piano that “make it hit a little bit deeper.” Their last album 22 Make was released in 2022.

As well as in Unforgotten, their music was used in 2016 movie Collide starring Anthony Hopkins, Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones.

All We Do was also used in the 2015 TV adaptation of the movie Scream as well as in 2014’s Our Girl starring Michelle Keegan.

Celebrating their tenth anniversary of making music the couple posted on their website: “It’s been a decade since we started Oh Wonder. On September 1st 2014 we released our first song Body Gold, and made a commitment to write, record and release one song on the first of every month for a year.

“That crazy idea culminated in our self-titled album, which launched a beautiful ten years of making music and touring the world a few times over.”

As well as All We Do, Oh Wonder have re-recorded each of the 13 songs on their debut album as a thank you to their fans.
