Coleen Rooney has shown off her brand new £140,000 car after she was seen heading out for a shopping trip ahead of her stint on I’m a Celebrity.
The 38-year-old, who is married to football star Wayne Rooney, was spotted running errands in her new black 155mph Audi SQ7 4×4. Coleen wore a casual all-white outfit, as she paired her top and leggings with a puffer coat and white trainers.
She styled her hair in a ponytail. The mum-of-four was seen talking on the phone and smiling while exiting her car and walking on the pavement. On Saturday, Coleen was seen doing some last-minute shopping in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
She was pictured with shopping bags in her hands while dashing around the Hoopers Department Store. She looked relaxed in a hooded jumper and simple black leggings and with her hair tied back in a tight bun. The Wagatha Christie mastermind looked sporty in a pair of trainers that completed her look.
It comes as she prepares to travel to Australia for I’m a Celeb. Last months, fans of the programme were stunned to learn that Coleen was taking part – with her paycheque expected to be a record amount in excess of £1.5 million. A TV source told The Sun on Sunday that I’m a Celeb bosses “pulled off a huge coup” getting Coleen on the show.
They added: “I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board. She’s always been a massive fan of the show and loves watching it with her boys.
“ITV are over the moon that the stars have aligned this year and she can fit it in. The series is set to be one of the best yet. Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case. She’s excited to show fans a different side to her and prove she can survive without her creature comforts.”
But former I’m A Celeb star Kim Woodburn has suggested Coleen won’t be worth the money – or the viewing time – as it has been reported she will sit out some trials on medical grounds. Lashing out at the star, Kim told The Sun: “Coleen Rooney will not be able to do many trials because she has a form of arthritis, which sad as it is. We know, we know it’s sad, so I think she’ll be very limited to what she can do.” But the former campmate then asked: “Then, why are they still taking her in there?”
Fearing the star will make for a dull contestant, Kim said: “I don’t want to watch Coleen.” And she added: “I don’t dislike the girl at all, but you don’t take somebody in there to sit on that long all the time eating rice… If that’s how they’re going to form the show, it will be like watching paint dry.”
Earlier reports, however, have suggested that Coleen’s arch rival, Rebekah Vardy – who she sued in 2022 – will be watching the show closely in case she brings up their vicious dispute. The ladies were friends until they explosively fell out in 2019 when Coleen accused the mum-of-five of selling stories about her to the press.
This then escalated into a legal battle that cost almost £2million. The new season is due to start on Sunday 17 November with other celebs rumoured to be taking part including Love Island’s Maura Higgins, McFly’s Danny Jones, and Dancing On Ice’s Oti Mabuse.
