Mum-of-two Kelsey Parker had a huge smile on her face as she stepped out for the first time since announcing her pregnancy amid speculation of a feud with late husband Tom Parker’s bandmate Max George
Kelsey Parker has been seen for the first time since revealing she is pregnant.
The 33-year-old exclusively revealed to The Mirror and OK! magazine that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Will Lindsay, three years after the tragic death of her husband Tom Parker. Kelsey was left a solo mum to their two children, Aurelia, now five, and Bodhi, four, after The Wanted’s Tom died of brain cancer at 33.
Sharing the news, Kelsey explained she believes Tom has given them his “blessing” and that she had wanted more children with the singer. “Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans,” Kelsey said. “So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet. The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different.’
“I’ve felt every emotion under the sun. I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited. And I know I’m putting myself out there, telling people. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am.” Following her announcement, Kelsey was seen out with her two children as they headed out for coffee.
She held onto Aurelia and Bodhi as they stopped into a Costa Coffee. The young children played in the puddles on the street as they left the shop, with Kelsey beaming. She kept warm in a long colourful coat and wrapped her arm around her stomach.
Amid her pregnancy news, Kelsey had been hit with rumours she had a ‘secret feud’ with late husband Tom’s bandmate Max George. In a new interview, Kelsey opened up about her alleged ‘strained’ relationship with Max – who has been recovering from heart surgery after having a pacemaker fitted.
She explained: “There’s no feud on my part. I’m a busy woman. I’ve got two kids. I’m growing a baby. I’ve not got the time for falling out with people and having feuds. It really ain’t a bit of me.” Kelsey went on to explain to The Sun: “We’re both having hard times. Obviously, I wish Max all the wellness in the world, because I wouldn’t want anyone to go through any ill health or anything.”
It comes after her recent baby joy was reportedly tinged with upset when she was left ‘deeply hurt’ by Max ‘disappearing’ from her and her children’s lives. After Tom’s tragic death, Kelsey and Max remained in contact. A source had claimed to the Daily Mail : “When Tom died, Max was quick to tell everyone how he planned to always be there for Tom’s wife and children, that he would take care of them and look after them.
“There was no reason to think he didn’t mean it and Kelsey was so grateful. But recently he has disappeared. He doesn’t visit her and the kids and isn’t involved in their lives.” The source also expressed that Kelsey found it ‘irking’ that Max has continued to speak about Tom publicly, despite losing contact.
Kelsey found love again last year quite by chance, meeting Will, 27, on a night out and going public with their romance last September. The mum-of-two, who is due in June, described her third pregnancy as a “happy accident” and opened up on the moment she and her partner saw the positive line on the pregnancy test.
“It was October 21st, the day after Will’s birthday. He shares a birthday with Bodhi. I was shocked but so happy. Will cried his eyes out!” Tree surgeon Will couldn’t be more chuffed. “I’m over the moon,” he said. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I couldn’t be happier and I know Kelsey is going to be an amazing mum, as she already is.”
Kelsey said telling her late husband Tom’s family was deeply emotional moment. “Tom’s mum Noreen gave me her blessing instantly. She can’t wait to have another grandchild. All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy. Noreen is the most amazing lady. After Tom passed, she said to me, ‘As long as you’re happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you.’ We’ve all been through so much together. But I’m here and bringing another baby into the world.”
