Manchester City star Phil Foden’s mum is said to have upset neighbours after holding a firework display that is claimed wouldn’t have looked out of place at ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge or at Disneyland’

The mum of Manchester City star Phil Foden caused fury in her Cheshire estate after a “deafening” firework display.

Claire Rowlands, 45, is said to have had a two hour-long display at her £3.5million lavish home with neighbours comparing it to Disneyland. It’s claimed those nearby were left needing to calm scared kids and pets after the “display-standard” pyrotechnics show began without any warning last Wednesday night, the day after Guy Fawkes night.

It’s claimed the huge display went on for over two hours between 6pm and 8.30pm, with neighbours far from pleased. One claimed the display must have “cost thousands”. It’s not known if the footballer and his young family were also at the reported display.

Speaking to Mail Online, the neighbour said: “They wouldn’t have looked out of place at the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Sydney Harbour Bridge or at Disneyland! Not that the neighbours were impressed. Most were concerned about their pets.”

Another complained to the publication that there was “no prior notice or warning” and said it had caused “immense distress” to dogs and babies of some residents. It’s said the locals then penned an open letter to share their discontent, saying the family’s antics were having an effect on their lives.

The source told the outlet that, while they don’t mind the family and others enjoying themselves, they throw “wild parties” that do get noisy. They claimed it is beginning to be known as a party house with regular complaints about noise and music.

The alleged incident isn’t the first time the family has seemingly upset neighbours. In July, the England star was slammed as “selfish” after apparently holding a loud party into the early hours. It’s thought he has since moved home after complaints suggested his antics sounded like “he was hosting a music festival”.

In September, Mirror reported how removals firm Warrens had posted a photo of a signed Number 47 City shirt on social media, with a message from Foden thanking them. It said: “To Warrens Removals thank you so much for your help with the move.”

The firm replied: “Normally Phil provides the goals and assists but on this occasion we provided the assist and achieved our goal. Thank you so much for choosing Warrens. What a complete honour.”

A message from a member of staff said: “By far, greatest moment of our careers, what a top lad and weekend it’s been.” Another wrote: “What a Legend and lovely family absolute honour to meet them all.”
