Calling all gamers – this Black Friday deal is not one to sleep on if you want to grab the sought-after PSVR2 at it’s lowest ever price, as it gets axed by a mega £190

As Amazon continues to roll out some major deals on PlayStation products, gamers can currently score an amazing deal on the covetable PSVR 2 headset, which is slashed to its lowest-ever price, shedding a mega £190 in this Black Friday sale.

The PSVR 2 is considered one of the best VR headsets you can pick up at the moment, thanks to its OLED panel and specs that give the likes of the Meta Quest 3 a run for their money (which we delve into over in our PSVR 2 review).

Usually coming in at £529.99, the sought-after VR headset from Sony is currently sporting a hefty discount, meaning gamers are able to grab a PSVR 2 for the majorly discounted price of £339 – the lowest it’s been on Amazon since Prime Day, when it sat at £349.

While the selection of the best PSVR 2 games wasn’t huge upon its initial release, the range got a whole lot bigger when the Steam app went live back in August; meaning gamers are able to play titles like Half-Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, and War Thunder – to name a handful of games of the thousands of titles that became accessible after the PSVR 2 Steam support was unveiled.

While the PSVR 2 isn’t wireless like the Meta Quest 3, the specs offset the potential inconvenience, and this price drop is a massive one we probably won’t see the likes of again for a good while, so now is definitely an ideal time to pick up the headset if you can spare the cash.

And shoppers have been quick to voice their accolades for this VR headset, as one particular customer raves: “Not had the PSVR2 for long, but I can say it’s definitely better than its predecessor. Some of the games are visually ming blowing, Kayak VR Mirage & Red Matter 2 are two games that are absolute stand outs in terms of visuals. I am still to try Resident Evil, GT7and Horizon, but have heard these are also very good. There are currently just over 200 games that support the PSVR2, so there are plenty of games to pick from.”

They go on to say: “Eye tracking is great, your surroundings are blurred out and it focuses solely on what you’re looking at directly, which I think is a good feature, as the image sharpens, making what you’re looking at, pop. The rumbles you get in the headset and in the controllers are a great feature, definitely adds to the immersion. Overall – fantastic, the price reduction was the deciding factor for me and if you want a high-end VR gaming experience without an expensive PC gaming rig, this is the one for you.”

Meanwhile another fan of the PSVR 2 headset beams: “PSVR2 was my first experience of be, and I’m hooked. I’ve been playing Arizona Sunshine 2 and GT7 for 1 to 2 hours almost every day for the last 6 weeks. The OLED/HDR experience has been great, it feels like being in the sunshine when it’s sunny in a game! The image itself isn’t a 4K pin sharp experience, it’s more like looking at an old CRT screen where you can see the separation of the pixels. None of that has outweighed the fun I’ve had with it though.”

And further praise comes from this buyer who shares: “I had a version 1 of this for ps4 which was great. But the upgrade to ps5 and vr2 is such a leap in technology. The headset is much lighter. The graphics are way ahead of any other headset (and I’ve tried lots) I cannot recommend it highly enough.”

Head over to Amazon now to get your hands on this piece of kit at a whopping discount, and pocket £190 at the same time.

For those shopping around, you can also pick up this gaming gadget for a similarly reduced price at Very or Currys, where it’s also selling for £339 this Black Friday.
