A new shopping hack has gone viral on social media platforms as people claim it helps them determine whether or not a pair of jeans or trousers will fit them, without needing them to try them on

A clothing shop owner has shared the ultimate shopping hack that allows you to check whether or not a pair of jeans will fit you without actually having to try them on.

Nowadays people can find pair of jeans to suit any style and occasion. However, find a pair of jeans that actually fits you can be harder than it sounds. While some brands opt for a sizes based on how many inches the waist is, other brands choose to categories it into traditional sizing, either in number or small, medium, and large sizes.

Since most brands are in charge of their own sizing guidelines, it can seem like an impossible task to figure out what size suits you best without trying them on.

However, one shopping hack has been making its way around social media recently that shows how you can check if jeans, or any other trousers, will fit you without actually having to try them on.

A woman named Grace, who owns a small clothing boutique took to TikTok to show how wrapping the jeans around your neck can help determine whether or not the jeans would be a good fit.

“Style hack, if you’re in the store but can’t try on your jeans, here’s how you can still tell if they’re gonna fit you or not,” she said, holding a pair of jeans in her hands.

“Take them, wrap them backwards around your neck just like this and then pull them to the front,” she explained, showing how she uses the waistband of the jeans to measure around her neck. “Now if they touch just perfectly like this, you know you’re gonna get a great fit,” she said. “If they overlap or don’t touch at all, they’re most likely gonna be too big or too small.”

People quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts, with many thanking Grace for sharing the hack. However, others were left with questions.

One person took to the comments to ask if this also work for plus size clothing, to which another person replied: “Idk about plus size but I’m curvy and if they touch perfectly they are to small It has to overlap a pinch on my neck then I know they’ll fit.”

However, it doesn’t seem to work for everyone, as another person said: “I tried they never touched and I put them on and they fitted good.”

“But how do you get a good fit for the leg. The neck hack works for my waist but my legs are too thick,” a third person wrote, while another user claimed it worked, saying: “It actually does work!”
